• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm on a 2015 Grey/Silver F3S with Orange Frame. Leather hard bags and tailbag. My wife will be on a White 2019 RTL with orange and pink graphics). If I'm not on the bike I'll have a black Buffalo Leather Hat on (friends call it my Indiana Jones Hat). Name's Joshua (Spyder-Man) Richardson...

Old Harley Rider considering a Spyder - load limit concerns?

You don't mention what year your RoadGlide was but if you actually do the math on the Bike weight and the GVWR on the RoadGlide you will find that it actually has a similar capacity to the Spyder. They have to put something to satisfy the lawyers/etc. Can you ride it, and will it be safe - my...

The BRP dealer network screw job.

In this situation - it's not the "stealerships" - it's BRP Corporate - they will not let the dealers use anything but Kenda. Dealers who have been mentioned doing a car tire online have had serious recourse as a result. it does suck and I feel for those like yourself that doesn't have a better...

Rear axle doesn't/can't have a cotter pin - anyone else?

COVID related supply chain issues changed the supplier for the axles on some machines. I'm not surprised it's different - and I wouldn't be concerned about not having the cotter pin either. As someone else mentioned one other unforeseen issue with this supplier change is that some machines are...

Got a PedalBox, getting VSS Fault & Limp Mode msg - any ideas/fixes?

Both are Throttle Position Sensor related - so yeah - it seems it's the pedal box giving you fits unfortunately. I'd definitely try the recalibration process - follow it very closely. If the errors come back - something is up with your Pedal Box and/or install. :-(

Any model/year Spyders you would avoid buying?

I know you said you are looking at the F3 - but I want to clarify things because I see people say all the time - 2014 and up have the new motor - and this is NOT ENTIRELY the case. BRP continued to sell the RS/RSS and ST models through 2017 - and those 2 models NEVER got the 1330. So you...

Got a PedalBox, getting VSS Fault & Limp Mode msg - any ideas/fixes?

On the new Dash bikes - if there is an engine light, limp mode, vss error, etc - you would use the jog dial on the left handlebar and scroll through your settings until you see "Fault Codes" - this will show you any current/active fault code - what is causing the error light/warning to be...

Any tips on re-installing the Brake Reservoir Retaining Spring Clip? 2022 RTL

I'm not sure I'm following your specific terminology - but the plastic reservoir T drops into the metal bracket and hangs there. Then the metal "clip" (bent up paperclip looking thing) slides in above the top of the plastic T (back of the reservoir) and below the top of the metal bracket -...

Front Sproket - recall or wear and tear?

They did not change the sprocket mid-19 - the fact that the later 19's and up are not under the recall has always fascinated me. To date there are only 3 sprockets for the 1330s - the original black which was stock on all 1330s for years - then the white which was painted and said to quiet down...

Please tell me the trick for '23 Ryker stock seat reinstall?

The new one will snap right down. In the meantime - try not to lose your seat. ;-)

Please tell me the trick for '23 Ryker stock seat reinstall?

Because the stock seat has the rubber holders - the "right" way - as dumb as it may be is to clam shell it. That said, some folks have had success by using Binder clips or zip ties to hold the rubber ties folded straight - allowing them to push the seat down - and then remove the zip tie or...

Please tell me the trick for '23 Ryker stock seat reinstall?

Stock is rubber tabs - if you have one that "just clicks down" then I'm guessing you have the comfort seat.

Got a PedalBox, getting VSS Fault & Limp Mode msg - any ideas/fixes?

They need calibrated - you said you did that - so I will assume you did it by the instructions. Next thought is are you changing it when the throttle is "open"? You can't change on the fly - throttle must be closed for at least a few seconds when changing the setting or it can cause a Limp...

Anyone else had Tricled sequential fender turn signal failures?

I work on Spyders and Rykers as a Hobby Gig. I've replaced the red sequential fender lights for folks numerous times. The Yellows seem solid - the reds have a much higher failure rate than I'm happy with - that's for sure. I've stopped recommending them because of it. TricLED seems to be...

New Can-Am Spyder F3 Limited Owner/Rider Looking for Maintenance Advice.

I'm going to be a voice of dissent here. First, the 1330 motor has a "First Inspection" and Oil Change at 3k miles (check the Service Interval in your Owners Manual - linked here in case you don't have one). https://www.operatorsguides.brp.com/public/tmp/619011EN.pdf HOWEVER, oil is also...

How do you guys with multiple bikes handle Riding other bikes?

I jump between my Spyder and a Victory Vision all the time. I've ridden other bikes as well. I guess your analogy must be close - I can hop on anything and ride it like it's my daily. That said, I do think that British bike would give me pause. I can't say as I've every seen a left foot...

Any Way to disable VSS/Traction control or severely dumb it down?

Rally Mode (only available on the Ryker Rally) drastically turns down the Nanny but doesn't turn it off. If you are in Rally Mode and it's kicking in often, without really pushing the boundaries, it's possible you may have a faulty wheel sensor. There is no Spyder/Ryker that allows you to...

Is the base F3 the sportiest model?

Flying through this thread quickly - I only saw 1 other person mention it but it's a HUGE factor based on your discussion. The F3S (looks like the base but is the "Sport" model) is the ONLY Spyder that comes with "SPORT" mode which will turn the "Nanny" WAY down - not off. The Base F3 an the...
