• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Front Sprocket Repair available? Not the 'Interim Fix'!

Spyderman I understand how you feel. I will say this, don’t let one recall ruin your taste. The darn 1330 is still pretty bullet proof. Not much needed as in repairs. BRP already stated and you can read it again in my first post, they will continue to do the replacement of sprockets if it...

If you are looking for the basics of basics for campground, days 76 is it! Beautiful shower room and toilet area. That’s it. There was no tables or pits last time we were there. You can spin semis around in there and parking spots are unlimited length. It’s a huge flat area. Price is awesome. BE...

Front Sprocket Repair available? Not the 'Interim Fix'!

My main service guy I talk to frequently and last friday just got done with a job and had a second to talk. He received the paperwork Monday,(yesterday) notifying that his dealership (mine) will be able to start placing orders and conducting service work starting December 19th . When he...

    Big deal coming?

My dealer has 20 percent off XPS snowmobile oil but it is a pre order for Black Friday. Need to order and pay by November 12th and pick up Black Friday. Snowmobile oil is not cheap, so you take any deal you can. Not sure if that is through BRP or the dealer, but its usually on sale only on Black...

Front Sprocket Repair available? Not the 'Interim Fix'!

Here’s the email I received back in October. Love the paragraph about if you are not satisfied contact the NHTSA. I actually was in the dealer last Friday to place a pre black friday snowmobile oil order. At that point, last friday, He had heard nothing when I brought it up. I know after the...

    2020 RT turns 5's

Dad says it’s it’s 6’s in Arizona. Me I’d happy with your 4’s and 5’s! It’s in the upper 2’s here. After the 3.5 inches of rain Friday and Saturday snows finally starting to stick. Suppose to get 3 inches today. Another 3 tonight and tomorrow. Enjoy your 5’s. Hate this time of year. Can’t ride...

Need advice on adjusting Belt alignment- not tension?!

I agree peter. I know it moves especially in reverse. Just to me, It has always been about a credit card from inside flange and for sure it is now centered now about 2-3 credit cards maybe even a touch more now consistently when I stop. In reverse it’s maybe a credit card from the outside edge...

Need advice on adjusting Belt alignment- not tension?!

I had my front sprocket cleaned really well for the recall inspection. I then removed my belt and cleaned it really well with dawn soap and applied conditioner. The reason was i was getting a really bad belt squeal. The squeal has gone away completely. For the last 2 days I have really noticed...

Still riding weather in northern Illinois

Today is the last day for a while or even the rest of winter for us. All depends. Up to 3” of rain around the Great Lakes and snow Saturday and Sunday. Nothing higher than 40 and rain snow mix projected for the next 2 weeks. Every night below 32 so that means icy or potential slick in mornings...

Wrong milage on title - is this an issue??

Every state is different but in PA we get our renewal every 2 years. You write the current mileage down “at that point of renewal” and send in and a card comes. So it would make no difference in PA. Ohio and NY might not even get their titles. They get a card mini card that is turned over at...

Accidentally hitting the starter button while the engine is running

What’s worse is when your wife is getting used to the controls on the left after dark (night riding), and since none of them on the left side are back lit, she tries to turn the high beams to low as cars approach and constantly hits the horn instead. It took a couple rides to figure out. I so...

Yuasa Battery Model Number -- a distinction without a difference?

I may be wrong but the -BS is you add the acid not factory installed. BS is not OEM that came with the spyder. I believe the OEM was factory sealed YUAM7250H YTX24HL. Only place I’ve seen them in stock is summit racing. As a side note, the BS version is always cheaper than the factory sealed. At...

Anyone ridden up & down Mt Evans, with a trailer?

Steve I read the same article. Can’t find anything saying yes or no. I think I’ll call the park service next just to make sure. The campsite, even though it’s state run and patrol enforced, recommended “not” leave the trailer even chained to a tree anywhere in northern colorado. They won’t...

Anyone ridden up & down Mt Evans, with a trailer?

I will be outside Denver next July and wife and I are looking at a couple options. We’re thinking of pulling the toyhauler to the three wheeled rally at black hills. Get there around the 3rd of July and stay till the 14th. I need to be in Denver on the 19th for 3 days. We’re thinking of leaving...

Is 29,000 miles good for a rear tire.

What I have discovered, and could be completely wrong, with the rear tire wear is the location and type of road surface you generally ride. Dad seems to get 25k-28k on his altimax but it’s exclusively done in Arizona area. That’s all smooth blacktop and warm. I run the same tire but in the north...

New signature - now map shows States visited on Spyder!

I sorta like it better! I have visited every state accept Hawaii with 4 wheels and my toyhaulers with my kids and wife. But since this is a spyder site, I did the same when I first joined spyderlovers. Only marked states with the spyder, Not even my 2 wheel states from previous rides. My map...

    1 year-12 days…….wahoooo all complete!

October 18th 2021 I hit a deer and totally destroyed the front end, windshield, dash etc. I posted this in another thread with all the details last year. Well last night, the dealer finally finished the last part that was backordered. I actually got the spyder 3/4 fixed back last May and put...

Did anyone else notice? Re: Front sprocket

Jchorne is correct. I was told by my dealer when they checked that if it failed to take it back home. Back orders are over 6-8 Weeks out. In my case it passed but I did have a 2.5-3 degree slip. 4 degrees is the cutoff. They recommend it not be used but unless it was totally rotted out that it...

Speakers, Radio, & XM Tuner Added

Do the front speakers block the side /angle projection of the headlights? Hard to tell, but it looks like 1/4 of the headlight beam would be cut off. That would not pass inspection in PA. Headlight beam should project/ cover 30 degrees off center at 25-30 feet.

2014 RTS ate a belt today!!! Teeth missing!

If I had to guess on how this occurred, I’d say the degreaser when sprayed on the wheels etc ran towards the front of the spyder, sat and soaked into the belt since it was facing up on the bottom return. Then I am guessing that a thread/cord might have snapped. Not sure if the spyders are like...
