• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ditto here. Bought a pair of pants a couple of years ago. Got caught in the rain and might as well have been wearing a bathing suit!

    Snowing again,

Yup, I have been joking to my wifey about this. No spring here in the northeast. Another month (April) of misery and by May it will be in the 80's and by the second week of July it will be back in the 40's at night and 50's to 60's during the day. At least we get 6 weeks of summer!

Ur welcome gang. Don't be afraid to chime in with what works for you and ALL the "gory" details. Every Spyder is a little different as well as atmospheric conditions. Let us all know your experiences with tuning. I would like this to be a collaborative thread where people can go in one place to...

Juice Box pro Tuning and Map Building

OK, Finally got around to doing a video of the experience I had w/ tuning my 2010 rs sm5 w/ the juice box pro. I tried to present things in a way that someone who has never done this sort of thing before can easily understand. It's fairly exhaustive and yes, quite boring for those that have no...

    An open letter to BRP

:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: I do hear you on the MPG thing. I was always under the impression that motorcycles got phenomenal gas mileage and put the Spyder into that category. I've met some MC riders that were amazed that it does so poorly and others that considered the Spyder mileage to...

How to Steer a Spyder and Avoid the Pain between the Shoulders (video)

I finally realized why I'm pooped out after a long ride! I think you're onto it as there is a big difference riding curvy winding roads and highway riding/cruising. 200 miles in the mountains requires a lot more effort on a Spyder than cruising the straights and flats. I could never understand...

    Yoshimura exhaust on 2012 RSS

The stock RS runs at an AFR of about 14.7. Extremely lean from the factory. That's why you get the popping when you pipe it. Leans it out even more. I use a custom map I made for the JB Pro as I have a green filter installed in the factory box. It's actually kinda neat 'cause I run the pipes in...

    New Gas Cap

Holy shnikey's! I can't believe you actually took time to make that video!:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: And...I actually took time to see what it was about! Worth it though as I got a great chuckle! Thanks I needed...

    Tire pressure Kumho

That doesn't sound right! Unless you've put on a huge # of miles. I've got about 7000 miles on my Nitto on the rear (26 psi) and it shows no wear. Keep in mind I burned the factory tire off at 5-6K miles just riding the curvy mountain roads here. No burnouts. Maybe it requires extra pressure...

Harmonic vibration around 5600 rpm/73-75 mph

My Spyder and my wife's also suffered from that vibration you described. I re-tensioned the belts and aligned and it's all but gone. I had a tire that was out of balance on my spyder and the idiot dealer refused to look at it and said the balance was fine. I took it to a cycle shop that does...

Harmonic vibration around 5600 rpm/73-75 mph

Sounds like the type of vibration that MANY of us experience with the Spyder. It is most likely belt tension. Pick yourself up a cricket gauge and check the tension. Also, check to make sure the belt is tracking correctly (w/the right gap) on the rear sprocket.

full face vs half vs beenie helmet

Good grief Bob. it just keeps comin"! All kidding aside. I love the 3/4 with the flip down shield for the hot weather. Full face for everything else including warmth and protection. Remember, a full face will offer more protection in the event someone pulls out in front of you or u...

    Ooomg...what the..?!!!

Can't hold it sustained. But it will idle forever like that "in gear" rear wheel spinning with no nanny kicking in. I do it when adjusting the belt. And yes, the nanny works! trust me I know. rear tire burned off in less than 6000 miles with no burnouts. Just riding the corners. the old bag...

    Finally! Stopped Snowing!

Best-Half? Funny guy!;) Machines cleaned up just like new. About 30 minutes for both. They look so sad sitting there in the garage though on such a gorgeous day. My "little Red Express" is saying; "Ride me! Beat my :cus: like a rented mule"! Heading out tomorrow going somewhere. Anywhere but...
