• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What to do with this Transmission shifting dilemma?

Just a guess, but maybe camshaft and/or crankshaft positioning sensors? But one would think that there would be stored codes that could be retrieved with BUDS. Did it go into limp mode? EDIT: Also, maybe gear positioning sensor?

    My '2024 Model Reveal' Review

I couldn't have said it better. Only problems I have ever had was the failure of the parking brake motor, which, to my surprise, BRP addressed very quickly and was replaced under warranty. The dealer actually had the part, and it was done while I waited. And, of course, the front sprocket, which...

    My '2024 Model Reveal' Review

Just me, but I sorta have the feeling that BRP is quickly reaching the point at which interest in and/or actually buying a Spyder will start to decrease. I for one will not buy another one. I am very happy with my 2017 RT, (hated my 2013) which doesn't have all of the complicated crap BRP keeps...

    My '2024 Model Reveal' Review

By and large, I'm not either. Having said that, I do agree that Can-Am should have included Android Auto, along with Apple Car Play, but Can-Am has been wedded to Apple for years. I would bet that Apples pays a significant amount of money for this exclusivity. As always, it's all about the money.

I wonder how his electrical system deals with this?

Never like slingshots, now like them even less.

Wondering why pictures get posted sideways?

Is there a reason why so many pictures posted by members in discussion threads are sideways? It is difficult at best to view said pictures. Is this a mistake on the part of the poster attaching pictures, or is it an inherent flaw of the website? Inquiring minds want to know. Well, at least I do.

How to degrease and clean motor and all stuff under plastic shell?

A couple of years ago, I had a lot of oil on the right side of the engine, due to my not tightening the oil filler cap. Stupid on my part. Removed Tupperware from the right side, then used Brakleen (sp?) It worked extremely well in getting the oil off. I ended up using 2 cans. I would spray...

Your Weather News @ August Edition 2023

Today will be the 40th day of 100+ degrees here in Austin. It is already 100 at 11:30 am. My digital thermometer read 113 yesterday. The previous 4 days were 112. We have had no rain since late May. A lot of brown around, and not much green. The forecast is for 105 and higher into Monday of next...

A question - what's the best way to lubricate all the cables?

Yeah, I wouldn't use WD-40, as it's really designed for water displacement, although it does sometimes work as a penetrating solvent. A garage door repair guy once told me to use WD-40 to lubricate the rollers & hinges on my garage doors. I asked him if he had already done so, and he said yes. I...

Shipping Services for Pull-behind Trailer - Reliable Shipping Company Names??

Check out Haul Bikes. They moved my Spyder from CT to TX in 2021 for about $800.00 with no headaches. Don't know if they would move a trailer, but I don't see why they wouldn't. Should be cheaper too.

A question - what's the best way to lubricate all the cables?

What is the best/easiest way to lubricate the frunk, seat, top case, & saddlebag cables? Would 3-in-1 oil work, or would another lubricant be a better choice?

    RIP Tony Bennett

I grew up listening to him and all of the other crooners. I was privileged to see him twice, once in Vegas about 25 years ago, and in CT with Lady Gaga. Hell of an artist. Listened to a lot of his music last night for old times sake.

A question - does your pillion feel crowded by the riders backrest?

Well, that disqualifies my bride. No comment on height/weight. I want to live a little longer.
