• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New back tire. Short valve stem. Do extenders exist that work?

This is great for adjusting tire pressure up or down. Easily adds air and bleeds air. It clips on to the valve stem so you don't have to remove it until you are done. No need for a valve extender or angled air chuck. I find that if I get my valve stem right at 5 o'clock, I can easily attach it...

Do I really need to replace the DESS & ignition for key replacement.- 2014 RT-S?

My 2017 RTS came with two keys (and a trailer barrel). Last year I lost one of the keys. Ordered a blank from Can-Am (it was $72.00) and had it cut ($10.00) to match my remaining key. When I bought a Kuhmo rear tire at Coyote Powersports in Boerne, Texas and had them install it, I lucked out and...

Answered the Question about Belt Life on My Spyder!

Coincidence? That your 2012 belt failed in the exact same manner as the 2012 belt on pegasus1300's Bike? The same measurement - 6 inches? And who knows how old these belts were when they were installed? "New" tires can be a couple of years old already when they are bought. Bet the same holds...

Has anybody installed the OEM adjustable wind deflectors on 2020+ RTL?

Steve, I had them on my 2013 RTL and liked them a lot. $100 is way less than I paid for mine. I think you would like them.

Newbie Question - what's the vibration

Best guess - harmonic vibration from the belt. Belt tension might be wrong. Your 2014 belt tension may be correct. Others on here can give you tips on checking the tension with a Kricket with the rear wheel on the ground and off the ground, and the adjustment procedure. My understanding is that...

KUDOS to the folks at SENA

Glad you had such a positive experience with SENA. I, unfortunately, had the exact opposite experience with them. The wife and I both have SENA Outrush helmets that we bought from Motorcycle Dave, which we like very much. For some unknown reason, her helmet would not pair the intercom with mine...

2022 RTL rear air suspension leaking air - is this common? Any fix/ideas?

This has been an all too common issue with Spyders over the years. I had a similar problem three times with my cursed 2013 RTL. Fixed under warranty all three times. The master tech who fixed it said that in his opinion the air suspension system was a lousy design, what with bag punctures...

Rattle - couldn't find the annoying Rattle... Helmet Visor Snap!

I was out for a ride once awhile back and also heard a rattle which seemed to be coming from the left side. Stopped and looked around but could not find anything loose. Got back on the road and sure enough the rattle was back. Stopped again and put the sun visor up into my helmet and looked...

Anyone ever found corrosion inside their fuse box; what’s the solution?

This was a common problem on 2013 RT's. BRP "fixed" it under warranty. Basically involved silicone caulking and new gaskets. It figures that BRP still hasn't solved this problem.

Holy Cow!! Hope your son is OK.

    EV's For Everyone!

BRP, as always, all talk and no walk. Becoming very boring. There's always a "latest and greatest", particularly with Spyders. Might be the latest, but sure ain't the greatest.

Frustrated!! Limp Home Mode & EC warning, Spyder at the dealers!

They were able to check it today - woohoo! - it's the camshaft positioning sensor. $80.00 for the sensor, $.79 cents for the gasket, $300.00 labor, plus tax, etc. BRP basically told the dealer that I should go **** myself as far as getting a goodwill repair. Seems that they have a long memory...

Frustrated!! Limp Home Mode & EC warning, Spyder at the dealers!

On the way home from the dentist this morning, stopped to get a bagel. Came out to start the Spyder, it cranked for far longer than normal before starting. Then, the dreaded LIMP HOME MODE pops up, along with a small green window that said "EC". Got it towed to the dealer, service writer said...

How does your Spyder react to Road Hazards?

There was a thread here maybe a year ago where a Spyder hit tire remains and did a hell of a lot of damage to the bike. So try not to hit any if at all possible.

Any Tips for reducing road trip costs?

Well, if you don't mind staying in a Motel 6 or similar just to sleep, you could probably cut lodging by half. Probably right on with gas, fast food for less.
