• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Replace the screen or the whole Instrument Cluster on 2014 ST-S? And How?

Pretty sure you are right about that. And a new cluster would not have the correct odometer and accumulated mileage. No way to get around that.

    Wow! Wicked fast internet

I just dumped AT&T "Fiber" for Google Fiber. I cant believe the difference. AT&T "Fiber" in my neighborhood is fiber optic to a node that is a block away, then copper wire the rest of the way. It was just "OK" as long as there were not too many devices on my wireless network at the same time, we...

Thanks! I did check the owner's manual, but I guess I did not understand that they can be overwritten.

Does Anyone Know How to delete Audio presets & set my own?

A question: Does anyone know how to delete audio presets on a 2017 RTS? Or am I stuck with what is already set? Now that I am back home in Texas, I want to delete presets from Connecticut. Any help is appreciated.

    Went To Buc-ee's in Atlanta!

Buc-ee's is almost its own religion here in Texas. Not one anywhere near me, but when we travel, and have the opportunity, we most definitely stop for gas and browsing. Problem is, unless you only get gas, and don't go inside, you will absolutely buy stuff that you never knew you needed. But it...

Anyone used CanDoo Pro? Any good for a home mechanic?

The "10 year rule" is unfortunately becoming more common for all vehicles, not just motorcycles, over 10 years old. A big driving force behind this is that the the Feds require that manufacturers only have to make OEM parts available for a period of ten years from date of manufacture. Then the...

Recommend any door-to-door cross country Spyder Shippers?

Mike, it was January of 2021. I wouldn't think the cost would be significantly higher these days, but who knows? All the OP would have to do is go to their website and get a quote there, which only costs some time.

Recommend any door-to-door cross country Spyder Shippers?

I used HaulBikes for a move from Connecticut to Texas. Great service, Spyder arrived at my new home before the promised date, and was in perfect condition. No mileage put on it while they had it. Door to door service. It cost me around $800.00, which I happily paid.

Automated mailed ticket.... But I wasn't there!

The various toll agencies here in Texas are notorious for doing exactly the same thing, as well as sending out paper bills for bogus tolls to owners of vehicles that have toll tags. They have been under investigation for years about this and other issues, and have changed administrative...

I put my Spyder to bed today, for A Long Winter's Sleep!

Thanks to all for your kind words and best wishes. The cancer was caught early and the prognosis is quite good. If I can get out on the Dream during this, you can bet your sweet bippy that I will do so.

I put my Spyder to bed today, for A Long Winter's Sleep!

An addendum to my post #6: As it turns out, even though this time of year and the 5 or so months ahead is good riding weather here in Central Texas, It may be awhile before I will be able to get out there. I started Chemotherapy and Radiation today (10/23) for stage 2B non-small cell lung cancer...

I put my Spyder to bed today, for A Long Winter's Sleep!

Lucky me here in Central Texas, where winter is a very short event. fall/winter/spring is the riding season here. This past summer we had 80 consecutive days of triple digit temperatures, hitting 116 several times. Too hot to ride, at least for me, even with a mesh jacket and wet neck/head gaiter.

New product for a little security - Jump Starter/Air Compressor combo

Good thing to have, but I'm wondering why you don't just replace a 7 year old battery? If you do have to jump it, once you shut the bike off, you will most likely have to jump it again. If you are on the road, that can become annoying pretty quickly. Batteries are not all that expensive, nor are...

Are the Front belt pulley bolts on 998 SE5's & 1330 SE6's the same?

You may unfortunately be up against the dreaded "10 year requirement", which requires manufacturers to supply OEM parts for only 10 years. Hope you get lucky.

A Request Passed On To All - Add your Spyder/Ryker Year/model to your Sig Line!

The number of posts that do not make any reference whatsoever to the year and model never ceases to amaze me. I mean, why wouldn't you? Seeing as how it's stupid easy to put it in a signature line makes me wonder why everyone on this forum doesn't do it. Its not like posting a Social Security or...
