• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anybody used regular gas in the spyder RT? Any performance loss?

:agree: If you run in to any kind of engine issues and they find out that you are running low octane fuel it may void the warranty. Just saying... :agree:

Anybody used regular gas in the spyder RT? Any performance loss?

:coffee:I really do think it starts quicker with the high test. No trouble with pre ignition ever. I don't do everything the manual says. But I'll continue to use the high test and keep being happy with the way it runs. Everyone to their own choice, I guess.

Anybody used regular gas in the spyder RT? Any performance loss?

 I never put more than 5.2 gallons in to fill my 2014 RTL. Always 91 octane. It is about $.25 more per gallon than the 87 octane. .... only $1.30 more per fill-up. If that tiny little bit of money is a big issue; then keep using the cheap stuff. I think we can all afford the 4 or 5...

    New Sportster S

 I still miss my 2003 V-rod! What a great bike. Really quick and super cool looking. With all the mods I did, plus the Power Commander, it was scary fast! :2thumbs:

What did you do to your Spyder today?

 Re set my toe-in to 1 inch on the front wheels of my 2014 RTL. Only took about 1/2 hour after getting the front end up on jack stands. It really eliminated the slight tendency to drift off a straight line at highway speeds. The 1/4 inch setting I used after installing my Baja Ron sway bar...

How do you avoid hitting potholes? 3 wheels makes it difficult!

:agree: It is the trickiest thing .. trying to miss those darned potholes!! But, Al is right. Hardest part is seeing them in time to "make the move". It's the only time I miss my 2 wheeler :(

    2016 RT Belt Tensioner

:2thumbs: My highway vibration was between 63 and 66 mph. Felt like I was riding on a washboard pavement, even on a smooth highway. Installed Lamonsters idler pulley about 2 months ago; and NO Vibrations up to high speeds at all. Only took about an hour to install on our 2014 RTL. Go for it...

    Front tire wear

 On my 2014 RTL, my Kumho Solus 175/65/15 tires just barely fit without any fender clearance problems. No signs of wear at 3,000 miles.

    Road vibrations on 3 wheels

:agree:Way more bumps and shudders on trike compared to 2 wheeler! .... no matter what pressure is in the tires! 3 areas of bumps/chuckholes etc to contend with instead of just one. Just like you, I'm still loving my RTL. Reverse gear is the BEST THING ever!!

Anyone else notice a Noise while riding 45-50 mph?

:dontknow::popcorn: I'm assuming this problem is not an issue with my 2014 RTL. Never heard any of that noise from my trike. Just installed a belt idler from LaMonster and it sure stopped the vibration I had at 63-66 mph. What's so special about this "White Pully" and why did they change pullys...

    To gurus and mentors.

:sour: I did a few 400 mile days with Harley riding buddies in my 40s and 50s, but was really worn out at the end of those days.(9am to 6pm)! Mostly did 250-300 in my 60's. Did 1 ride up from southern Cali in 2017 at age 71! Yikes!! 450+ miles!! :gaah: I was not worth a darn for the next 3...

    20-21 top speed

:agree:On these super crappy California roads and Highways, 70 mph is about all I like to push the envelope. One of the 3 wheels is always sure to encounter at least 1 of the chuckholes, bumps, or other aberrations on the roads. I love my RTL; but miss the ability to miss most of those things on...

Rent A Trailer? Towing Can Am RT From Charlotte to Durango and Back

 We just got back from a trip from the East Bay Area all the way up to Mendicino Ca on some of the windiest roads EVER along the Pacific Ocean coast, and there were no problems at all towing it with my 2007 Chevy Avalanche! 6X12 Big Tex is a single axle without brakes; but it only weighs...
