• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What do I need for Brake pad replacement?

Screwing the piston, CW, back into the caliper is required only for the rear caliper. One can simply press the pistons into the calipers with finger pressure on the front calipers.

HowTo: 2024 Spyder RTL Battery Tender Install

The dealer may have left the permanent wire just sticking out the access door because that rubber plug, if later models are at all like my '14 RT-S, can be removed and there is a switched cable that can be inserted in the hole to provide power to the frunk tub. The lead to my Battery Tender Jr...

Looking for opinions on when to do the first oil change?

As a contrarian, my point of view is since I am not an engineer, and even if I was one, I didn't work for the Rotax company designing their engines and therefore I see no reason to think I'm smarter than the Rotax engineers. Ergo, the 3K initial oil change for the 1330 ACE engine was...

Thinking about Extended Service Plans/Warranty - anyone have experience with them?

Go to the Home tab on this website; scroll a bit more than halfway down the page; and you will see the iMotorsports advert. Click on it; and then scroll all the way to the bottom of the page where you will find, inter alia, the address and phone number.

What is your opinion on the plastic oil pump gears?

I have 87.5K+ on mine with no problems whatsoever with anything related to the engine and only one warranty repair item, parking brake motor replaced under factory warranty. My B.E.S.T. extended warranty expired unused.

Thinking about Extended Service Plans/Warranty - anyone have experience with them?

Smells to me like someone trying to peddle a free lunch. I've never been in the market for such freebees.

After decent Ride/Route fm Maggie Valley to ToD or Cherohala Skyway?

Living where I do, one doesn't have to contend with crotch rocket jackasses, and there are lots more fun and challenging roads. Semper Fi!

Can anyone help with these 2020+ RT Drivebelt Specs?

If you're looking for those specs in the hope of finding a less expensive replacement belt, you're probably out of luck! If there was a third-party source, a Spyder jockey somewhere would have already found it, and it would be noted on this website.

New member - 2017 RT Ltd. Love it, but the body roll is a little unsettling!

Welcome! I recommend you tell your wife to read the Sticky on the "Dos and Do Nots for New Spyder owners" of riding a Spyder (see beliw) as well as the Operator's Guide, from cover to cover at least twice...

After decent Ride/Route fm Maggie Valley to ToD or Cherohala Skyway?

Here's a suggestion, U.S.-19 through Cherokee and Bryson City minimizing time on U.S.-74 I would take to the Skyway. The Dragon is overrated IMO. Excuse the small burp in Bryson City...

    Best vs Revolos Extended Warranty?

If one wants extra warranty protection after the factory or B.E.S.T. extended warranty expires, just rat hole some extra $$ each month. My B.E.S.T. extended warranty expired unused, but if I ever plan to buy a newer machine I will still get one from iMotorsports.

Not shifting into reverse - any ideas?

Service manual says to first test the Reverse button but you need B.U.D.S. Testing and resetting the Gearbox Position Sensor also requires B.U.D.S.

Any suggestions on waterproof + airflow seat covers??

If you're looking for a waterproof cover, for a Benjamin and two cups of coffee you can have this, made specifically for your Spyder. http://https://can-am-shop.brp.com/on-road/us/en/219400722-seat-rain-cover.html I have a similar one made for my Comfort Seat and, as BLUEKNIGHT said, once I...

An Embarrasing but funny story I have to share...

I did exactly the same thing checking onto a motel when on tour with a couple of other riders. Something was quirky about the check-in and it was playing on my mind as I pulled into the parking spot in front of the room. I went to back up to reposition the Spyder a bit, hit the reverse paddle...

Should I worry about speakers/dash when Washing my Spyder? What do you do?

Have been washing my Spyder for 9+ years with light spray from garden hose, light around the switches & display and blow it dry with gas leaf blower and short nozzle.

2016 Runs hot for a while - what would cause this??

Did you follow the service manual instructions for refilling the coolant system after draining the system? The service manual tells you, after draining the system (by removing the lower right radiator hose) to start with a cold engine. Fill it with BRP coolant, as previously said that is...

Brand new 2023 RT with an Oil leak, Dealer won't help, what now?

Step 1. As ARtraveler and BLUEKNIGHT said, contact IMotorsports and ask to speak with service manager. Give him the purchase date, VIN, current mileage and best estimate of where oil is coming from. Tell them the name and phone number of the local dealership where you would like to have warranty...

Trying to figure out if Sea to Sky is better for me than RT Ltd?

Seats are so personal, IMO, it's somewhat a waste of time to solicit opinions. If a dealer won't let you test both models of Spyder so you can form a butt opinion you need to find another dealer. Again, IMO, if one is going to test ride seats one should establish at a minimum how long one is...
