• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is it Safe to Carry a new/replacement Tire on the passenger seat of an RT?

I do it for every rear tire since I switched to the General Atimax brand. I remove my drivers backrest and use a nylon strap to hold it to the passenger hand holds, 90+ miles to the dealership. I don't even know it's there at interstate speeds. Backrest rides in the frunk.

Do I need BUDS to depressurize the fuel filter to change it?

Just give the machine some time to let the pressure bleed off the system. Before you remove the first piece of Tupperware, remove the ignition key and you won't have to worry about a gasoline douche.

Any reason NOT to buy a 2012 RT Limited?

I respect Pegasus's assessment of that MY, but IMO RayBJ's assessment of a low mileage 12 year-old Spyder outweighs the first opinion unless you are prepared to deal with possible parts and service with the machine.

Trying to decide between this 2019 RT Ltd or a 2024 year/model - advice?

My 2014 has fewer than 60 miles to go to reach 88K and I have absolutely no intention of trading it for any kind of new Spyder.

Why do I need to re-log in after changing threads?

The only time I have to log in again on both my computers is if I delete my browsing history and cookies. My phone has a different browser and I've not had to log in again on that device that I can remember.

My solution to the Bajaron Ultra sway-bar 'clunk'!

Why did you not call Ron, explain the contents of your OP and give Ron the opportunity to reply before criticizing the design of his product? That is of course unless you are an engineer who designs motorcycle suspension systems for a living. Would you not appreciate the same courtesy if you...

Does Cruise Control shut off on rolling off throttle - 2017 Ltd??

The Cruise Control system on the MY2024 Spyder RTs is entirely different from the CC on previous MYs. Read how it works and doesn't work at this link https://www.operatorsguides.brp.com/ - select Can-Am On-road; 2024; Spyder RT; then the operator's guide in your language of choice - pg 27-29 in...

Do new brake pads work weakly at first?

You did not say if the new brake pads were OEM replacement pads from a dealership or performance oriented pads from a third party. If the latter, the method Pegasus suggested is much more important for good brake performance. Your Operator's Guide tells you to be careful about hard braking...

Are there any safe & convenient ways to carry Reserve Fuel?

Yes, serendipitous things do happen, but IMO, successful long distance motorcycle touring begins with thorough route planning and map reconnaissance. With today's automated mapping systems and software, the tourist should have no problem identifying common refueling options along all but the...

Are there any options for 2024 RT Windshield Vents?

Have you tried contacting F4 Custom Motorcycle Windshields, https://f4customs.com/windshield-for-can-am-spyder-rt-rts.html? They have a 5-position vent.

What did you do to get a Twisted Sisters route on your Garmin XT?

I've been using BaseCamp for years and, yes, it has a pretty steep learning curve, but there's a guy on Youtube, EZ Moto Tim, who has made a series of excellent videos that explain just every aspect of using the software. The main thing one must remember is that the Activity Profile in BaseCamp...

Which upgrade would you do first ?

You don't say what king of riding you do and how much experience you have on your Spyder(s). That said, plus the fact, at least on SpyderLovers, that the most common nickname for Kenda tires is Crapendas, and you do not say if your 2022 F3-T was laser aligned by a technician who knew what he was...

GEICO - anyone had F3 Body Shop Repairs done Following Collision?

Automotive body shops by design and specialization do not routinely work on other than automobiles and light trucks. Many cage insurers also have working relationships with large automotive collision companies. If your Spyder insurance is through Geico, why not ring them up and ask? They may...

Need suggestions on how to keep my RT radiators clean?

Spyderpops Keep Out The Trash (KOTT) grilles are one of the best farkles designed for Can-Am Spyders. They were amongst the three accessories I added to my roadster when I first brought it home from the dealership. When I temporarily removed them to do a radiator cleaning at 44K miles I was...

Any Tips for removing clutch oil drain plug before hot oil shoots out?

Please, let's get a couple of things straightened out. First, you say the the clutch (left side) plug is on the left side. The clutch cover drain plug is on the right side because, by convention, the left and right sides of the Spyder, just like in a cage refer to the sides as the operator is...

New side panel “fake” post replacements needed

The part number for the Angled Knob is 705003746. There is a separate security tool you need to remove the broken part and install a replacement. To avoid breaking the knob when reinstalling the panel, first spray the rubber grommet into which both knobs fit, then insert the angled knob into the...

2014 Spyder RTL Right floorboard doesn't release & drop down - ideas why not?

Now that you have the EBC pads you need to bed them in. That means you are going to have to make a successive series, 3 - 4 panic slowdowns from 60 mph to 20 or so stomping the brake pedal as hard as you can; do NOT come to a full stop. You will probably feel the ABS pulsate but the floorboard...

Who here has or uses a Leatherman or equivalent?

Reminds me of the old Navy story about a young seaman down in the bowels of the ship who says, "Chief, hand me a 16" crescent wrench." The Chief replies, "There's nothing down there that requires a 16" crescent wrench." To which the seaman replies, "I know. I'm going to use it for a hammer."
