• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How easy is it to replace Mode and Parking buttons? The print on 2019 RTL has gone!

Seeing as my Spyder is new, I'm thinking perhaps some more "basic" prevention would be in order. I'm going to try a very good cleaning, followed by either a very good coat of wax or ceramic coating. Yeah it will wear off, but since I tend to clean my vehicles during the riding season weekly...

    Nitpicking the 2024 RT

A bean counter said "We can save $2 in paint if we make it black" A marketing person said "We can spin this as a new two-tone scheme for 2024" A Parts guy said" we only have to stock one part for all color Spyder's" And so, the new two color, cheap looking, top case design was introduced for...

Who would have thought that Grip Puppies could make such a difference!

Grip Puppies here as well. For me, they are a requirement on my motorcycle as my hands would go numb and I have "trigger finger(s)" from time to time. I am concerned about putting them on my F3-S because I have factory heated grips. I have heard they are not terribly good compared to...

Burning Pain in Shoulder Blades - seating, handlebars, or helmet? Any ideas??

I'm late to this thread, but I had the same issue on my motorcycle. In my case it was two things, my posture and the backpack I wear. I tightened the backpack (medium sized bag with a laptop ~ maybe 7-8 pounds) and rode in a fairly crouched position. (I have a Kawasaki 2020 Z900 - not quite...

    What GPS are you using?

I guess it depend on where and how far you are going. :dontknow: I'm not a long distance traveler so none of those issue are relevant to my situation. Thanks for pointing out the benefits. If i ever take the plunge and decide to travel I will need to consider a GPS.

That would bug my OCD if that little bit of wrap started to peel up....lol ;) Seriously, that's also a great idea!

    What GPS are you using?

I was really wondering why this wasn't the norm. Why use a dedicated GPS today that has to be updated has limited function when compared to a phone? Not to mention it's just another thing that has to be plugged in and looked after when traveling. :dontknow:

Advice on mobile phone placement, what would work?

Is it a ball mount or does it mount flat on the bracket with the USB and power outlet?

Advice on mobile phone placement, what would work?

This scares me. I let myself believe that if I center mount it, if it falls off I will catch it with my body. lol

My new '23 F3 showed Trans Fault & Limp Home - Warranty Work!

And they would collect dust because dealers don't typically have a very sophisticated ordering system and rely on being totally reactive and not proactive, meaning that they wait for a request and keep no real history on what is being sold. If they replaced 8 sensors a year, then the average...

How easy is it to replace Mode and Parking buttons? The print on 2019 RTL has gone!

Be careful with this. I'm not a chemist, but doesn't some nail polish contain acetone or other chemical that may actually wipe off the lettering? It would be terrible to be brushing it on to see your letters melting, then when you realize it and try to 'wipe' the nail polish off, only to find...

Advice on mobile phone placement, what would work?

I've been considering a mount as well for my large Android (Note20 Ultra ~ soon to be upgraded to a new model). There seem to be a lot of choices, but I never saw the value in many mounts for motorcycles and now Spyder's because they block the gauges! I'm holding out for a very secure mount...

Unused OEM connectors - Anyone know what these connectors are used for?

There still are 3 "Customer Accessory Circuits" as you describe. In the frunk (lower right side); In the left side panel; and in the tail under the passenger seat. These three circuits are all switched (only active when the engine is running and share the same 10A fuse) There is also another...

    Extended Warranty Purchasing Advice Needed

Absolutely correct - NOT BRP. I will need to look up the name and confirm the price on my purchase order. I am not a fan of extended warranties, but as I mentioned in my previous post (I'm getting old - lol) I researched this company and rather than ask what's covered, I asked what wasn't...

Unused OEM connectors - Anyone know what these connectors are used for?

I finished looking through the electrical diagrams and cannot find where it is used on any model; and on the F3, it is definitely not being used so... I have a free power 5A outlet. :2thumbs: Thanks for confirming.

Unused OEM connectors - Anyone know what these connectors are used for?

During the install of my accessories and LED's I came across a few connectors that are unused. I was wondering what, if anything, these are used for? Specifically, the one labeled "GPS"? I assume they are used on a different model, but to me it seems like a "free" power outlet that I can...

How easy is it to replace Mode and Parking buttons? The print on 2019 RTL has gone!

Here's what I would do.. I would mask off the area around the buttons, leaving them exposed. I would then clean them *carefully* so as to not remove anymore of the lettering. I would then spray them with some type of UV resistance clearcoat - maybe several times to protect them and provide a...

    Extended Warranty Purchasing Advice Needed

My 2 cents.... I bought an extended 4 year warranty from the dealer for about $350 Normally I don't do this, but I'm getting older and the back and knees don't like me working on vehicles so much any more. ;) I also bought it as I am not 100% sold on Can-am quality, specifically in the areas...

I bit the Bullet, bought a new Spyder - but is this a Shock cover??

Isn't that the truth.... Aside from looking like you have left the "price tag" on the Spyder, they serve no function once you're riding. I would argue that they might negatively impact moisture evaporation and promote corrosion long term. Congratulations on the ride.

TricLED Vent Lights - anyone have issues with them?

Great idea. I thought SlingMods would have the correct size as they only have one option and as I stated they fit as I was expecting on the video. I'll have to hit up sling Mods again to see what they say and or start the RMA process.
