• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What do you think of the 'New for 2025 - Spyder Canyon'?

Oh my gosh! This design is calling me...... I need to resist the urge to buy this......I need to resist the urge to buy this.......I need to resist the urge to buy this....... Afraid of the cost though.... :gaah: EDIT: Starts at $25300 (Base), $29800 (XT) and $32300 (Redrock) - not...

Are Dealers 'dumping' New-Old-Stock Spyders instead of selling latest models?

My dealer had many (15-20) new 2023 models listed on their website when I started looking into getting mine last year, but only had a few (6-10) at the dealership on display. I assumed they all have projected inventory (either force fed or purchased) and would keep the showroom stocked as...

You will LOVE or HATE this - How to open your locked Frunk without the key!

Weird, I just watched this video last night without knowing Martin posted it here. Gotta love the Google Spy-tec... :sour: I'm curious what damage this does to the cable or mechanism as the cable is in a sheath and pulling the sheath in order to force the cable inside to pull enough to pop...

Any LED light recommendations for my plate??

What's the advantage of removing the rear fender that creates plate and light relocation issues? Is this a aesthetic modification or are there issues with the rear fender and the fender extension that was added? I'm wanting to change out the bulb on my Spyder for an LED, and am considering...

How Long did BRP take to contact you after your Spyder purchase, if at all??

Wait, some of you got contacted? :yikes: Seriously, BRP only contacted me for the mirror recall. The dealer has reached out several times to say "Hey" and to ask how they did as well as advertise their services with the enticements of some free swag if i go in for parts or service - but the...

How does Can-Am Test New Spyders? Should I be concerned?

This is promising. But could you realistically get to 113mph in less than 1 mile? Like where would the dealer do this as they don't have the area to do so and the dealer is located in a pretty populated area with traffic near an interstate. i will ask them though.....

What should I look for in a mesh jacket? Any Pros & Cons?

Been there, done that! An excellent suggestion IMO. That place is pretty awesome. I've picked up some quality gear for some really good prices. I'm just to lazy to drive the 1.5-2 hours one way to go more often. But when i do, I need to drive my car because i spend between $300-500 and...

What have you done for Heated Gear Wiring, inc Location - '20+ RT's?

Assuming all Spyder's have the same alternator, the Service Manual I have states that the alternator output is 90A. Allowing for a standard 20% safety margin means that I wouldn't load it past 70-72A. What the spec doesn't say is how much of that capacity is used up by just running the engine...

    2022 Spyder Mirror Recall F3 F3S

Thanks for clearing the recall up for me. It's what I thought but no one ever stated it clearly.

Another Oil Thread (sorry!) - Has anyone tried using Mobil 1 10W40?

Point taken. For what it's worth, the shop was on my side from day one, it was Mercedes who would not work on their own car and pointed me to this shop for warranty work. The shop helped push the issue and basically made Mercedes send someone to inspect. They then had to approve the work...

How does Can-Am Test New Spyders? Should I be concerned?

I track all expenses for my vehicles including gas fill ups and I noticed something that alarmed me the other day during my very first fill up at the gas station. I was scrolling through the menus to see what statistics the Spyder tracks so I could start tracking them. I noticed that...

Another Oil Thread (sorry!) - Has anyone tried using Mobil 1 10W40?

Don't care, not taking that chance. I had to deal with this issue already on my wife's car that threw a rod and needed rebuilt under warranty. I had to fight the warranty company to accept the fact I did the proper oil changes and that I documented them...which I did via video recording the...

Instrument Cluster Screen Protector - Does one exist?

LOL, it took me an hour to get it to fit properly. The main harness has a large ferrite or something that if it doesn't get lined up makes snapping the display assembly into the housing a no-go scenario. But yeah, I may do it in the near future.

    2024 F3L - where are the fog lights? IS this a 2024?

I get frustrated when I buy vehicles because of the junk fees. I'm not sold on the setup fee; I've seen a few videos on what it takes to uncrate these. I doubt it takes more than an hour as these come 80-95% pre-assembled. Limited and other Touring trims may take a little longer. I'm also...

Another Oil Thread (sorry!) - Has anyone tried using Mobil 1 10W40?

:agree: I will likely use their XPS oil kit as recommended and document (video record) the changes for my records. I Love Mobil 1 4T 10W40 Racing Oil. I run that on my Kawasaki Z900 since the first oil change. I will likely switch to that when my 4 year warranty expires.

    2022 Spyder Mirror Recall F3 F3S

Lower Spec? :lecturef_smilie: I would argue that the F3 and F3S are not a lower spec, rather a different purposed Spyder! :dontknow: With the same engine, transmission and 90% of the same "other stuff" I would say they are the more sporty version with less weight, better handling for more...

What have you done for Heated Gear Wiring, inc Location - '20+ RT's?

Has anyone done any research on the charging capacity of the alternator? With accessories, radios and electronic gadgets that a lot of riders ad/ use it's very possible to overwhelm the charging system. Not good for the components, battery or electrical system. This is why I tend to not...

Do you have Water Spots on the Engine finish?

Although I haven't washed my Spyder yet (I have maybe 70 miles on it) I am on the leaf blower team as well. I would recommend a dedicated blower for drying and blasting away water after washing. Using the blower that you use for the yard can be very bad for your paint , especially if it also...

Refusal to look at my 2015 RT-S by a Can Am Dealer!

Well that certainly puts it into perspective! Should have led with the mileage info... I'm glad it was fixed and there's nothing wrong with having a backup Spyder...
