• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any thoughts on this Handlebar vibration/shake?

I drove my Spyder for the first time the other day on the interstate. Somewhere around 65-70 mph the handlebars vibrate noticeably. Not violently, just rapidly with enough movement that I noticed the bar and my hand vibrating. It's weird because I don't really feel it, and it goes away below 65...

Passed my Washington State 3 wheel license test

I think OH is the same with the exception being needing the need for the 3 wheel endorsement if you already have the motor cycle one. Thank goodness!

Who built their own plug & play system for adding accessories?

Thanks! (I assume this was at me) ;) No it's not. If you know basic electronics, and plan out what it is you want to do, its not bad. I tend to take things to the "Nth" degree because I am very logical, and my schooling and work history has locked my brain into this way of thinking. It's...

    Missing Rubber grommets - anyone have a source/item #??

I agree with the above, but being a "purist", my first thought would be to look them up in the parts manual then call the dealer and search on line (eBay etc.) for the OEM part. Only when the cost of OEM parts shocks me too much do I go generic. On a side note, my new Spyder came from the...

Anyone use (turtle wax) hybrid solution ceramic wax on windshield?

I literally just bought a bottle of RainX for plastics. I use RainX on my car windshield and its great. I apply at every wash, which is about once every week or two. It easily lasts between washes. I barely ever need to use my wipers...

    Buying used - 2015 Spyder F3-S - is this milage/usage a concern?

I can't speak to Can-Am specifically, but to me three things stand out the most: How reliable is the brand/motor? Not to start a war, but I would argue 40K on a Toyota Prius is less wear than 40K on a Chrysler Jeep. How was it maintained? In my mind a 40K engine should have had between 13-15...

Passed my Washington State 3 wheel license test

Congratulations! I would love to take a 3-wheel riding course, but the closest one to me is in another state several hours away. I can't see myself or the wife making the trek 2-3 days in a row. I had to settle for my motorcycle two-wheel endorsement, and slowly building up confidence on...

What do you carry for Travel Snacks?

Travel Snacks? I go from point A to point B, about 30-40minutes, ain't got time for no snacks. :lecturef_smilie: LOL, I'm kidding. If I ever went farther than to work, I imagine I would bring what I would for a car trip - Beef Jerky and candy.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Today, actually on Sunday the 1st of Sept. ;) I did my first oil change ever on a Spyder. My Spyder. It was... rewarding? I saved the cost of having the dealer do it. The change was at 600 miles exactly on the odometer. The oil will be sent out for analysis.

Who built their own plug & play system for adding accessories?

I have made a few harnesses. The latest for my Spyder accessories. I have an engineering and service background, so that means I tend to design and make my circuits simple, efficient and serviceable. Unfortunately this takes time and some money. My circuits are designed to be replaceable...

    How Do You Ride?

I don't get why people are in such a rush. I ride the speed limit or slightly below and in the right lane, unless I need to pass for some reason. I prefer back roads so my speed is usually 55mph or below. Coincidentally, I rode the Spyder for the first time on the interstate. Speed limit is...

Opinions wanted - How I and the Dealer handled a service issue - long read warning

I had inquired a few weeks ago about the belt alignment on my Spyder during my service visit regarding the mirror recall. At that point, a technician looked at it and stated it was within .5mm to about 1mm from hitting the pulley flange. Since there was no rubbing or noise we decided to wait...

Is Common Sense going the way of the Passenger Pigeon?

Can you provide an example without outing anyone? I consider myself of average intelligence, dare I say slightly higher regarding some things, but how something is presented, explained, or shown just doesn't register clearly in my mind. Take IKEA furniture for example. I take almost as long...

What do you think of the 'New for 2025 - Spyder Canyon'?

:agree: Imagine a Spyder with just a Speedometer, Tachometer, Water temp gauge, Oil pressure gauge, Battery Gauge, Odometer and maybe a few trip meters. I love tech, have an Engineering background but i would prefer at this point "full instrumentation" (digital or analogue) over...

Here's the BRP Catalogue for 2025 - Specs, Accessories, and Apparel

To sort of cross link to another thread I just read, I found it super cool that the catalog offers models of the Can-Am on road line! Check out page 110. I'm heading to the dealer today, need to pick up a few for my home office and work office. Link to the other thread if anyone...

Is it possible to do an Oil Change without a lift?

2023 F3-S. Can the engine oil be changed without a lift? If so, what limitations/ things should I consider? I need to do an oil change ASAP, but I have no access to a lift and no time to buy a lift at this point and I only have a small window that included great weather to get it done. I...

1330 and Gas Mileage Review - What's yours? Anyone else tracking theirs?

Thanks for the replies. it seems like I am in the "Normal Zone" with my 35mpg average. I didn't buy the Spyder for gas mileage, and my inquiry was more to see what I can expect over time as all my cars and motorcycles have improved their MPG as they broke in. All things being equal, a...

1330 and Gas Mileage Review - What's yours? Anyone else tracking theirs?

I did a search on the forum for Gas Mileage, expecting to get a bunch of hits, but nope. I got a lot of unrelated topics, so here I am asking. As the topic states, anyone track their gas mileage or MPG? I have filled up 3 times since I got my F3-S and I am getting 34.9mpg. This is about...

Looking for a male connector to fit this? Need to charge GPS!

Lots of opinions here, all good. My 2 cents is that you make sure that the circuit can handle the load you are attempting to add to it. In this case it likely can, as that harness appears to be for the fog light switch - assuming the 2024's are the same earlier models in that regard. If you...
