• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How do you mange riding a Spyder and a motorcycle?

Thanks for the words of Wisdom and a few laughs! Yeah, it will just take time. It doesn't help that my Z900 one step from being a "crotch-rocket" and seating and riding position are worlds apart. I don't think I would have had such an issue had I rode a more standard cruiser type...

Any way to modify an RTL to mimic the off-road features of the new Canyon?

I think the question is difficult to answer at this point since the Canyon is a new model. What parts are shared? Are critical parts needed to "convert" compatible with older models? Will new parts fit on the older frame? What modifications would be needed to make them work? If parts do...

How do you mange riding a Spyder and a motorcycle?

Does anyone still ride a two wheel motorcycle and their Spyder regularly or semi-regularly? I haven't ridden my Z900 in several months since riding the Spyder. I took the Z out this past weekend, and it was like I was a beginner all over again. The Z felt so small, my riding position made me...

PedalBox and Pedal Commander - what do they do and how do they work?

And this is why I love forums with people willing to explain things. Assuming the above is correct (no reason to doubt it), I was wrong. Thanks for setting me straight. I must really be a slow poke because I don't notice much lag, or I accept the lag. ;) I will need to test...

Are Cluster features able to be added or removed with BUDS?

I have a 2023 Spyder F3. It did not come with a "radio" or working volume control (but has the volume buttons on the LH control pods. The F3-T on the other hand does come with a radio and working volume buttons. All 2023 F3 variants share the same cluster. Looking through my available menus I...

PedalBox and Pedal Commander - what do they do and how do they work?

That was a joke. :) I seem to be on the "other side" of the fence on this topic that's all I meant. I'm not sure I have any misconceptions about these products. They simply move the available throttle response "up" the rotation of the throttle grip. So instead of 100% throttle at 100%...

Opinions wanted - How I and the Dealer handled a service issue - long read warning

I wanted to update my thread. On 9/20/24 I took my Spyder back to the dealer for the scheduled appointment to properly get the belt aligned. The first thing I did after dismounting and walking up to the service desk was apologize for how our last interaction went. I offered to pay for the...

PedalBox and Pedal Commander - what do they do and how do they work?

I'll throw in my 2 cents so it can be shot down. lol I see no need for this unless you are on a track. In fact, I would argue that going from zero throttle to full throttle will not be good for tires or the engine (especially when cold!) No one IMO needs to be in that much of a hurry...

Any advice to stop a Ryker Rally 900 from smelling??

What kind of smell? I had a motorcycle that smelled bad, only to find out that mice had made a home in the tail during winter storage! :opps:

Mounting a tire on my Spyder - things I'll verify

I had already asked with that in mind, I started both asks with "if I bring you the wheel.....". I asked two motorcycle shops, the first one who did my Z900 last year and they flat out said no. They do not have the proper equipment to do it. Their equipment was pretty basic IMO but they...

Left turn signals don't go on - 2018 F3 Ltd! Any ideas/solution thoughts?

The bulletin appears to only cover down shifting issues or shifting into reverse and not a blinker issue. Although I believe the circuits are different, they both reside in the LH multifunction switch assembly. Short of having BUDS, going to the dealer or just parts swapping (it is labor...

Mounting a tire on my Spyder - things I'll verify

Out of curiosity, does that include balancing and how much? I've asked around me just get an idea so when I'm ready to do the same I will have some idea what it will cost. So far, no one will touch it or mount car tires - but I've only asked a few places....

Has anyone seen or have info on this electric Ryker shifter mod?

Good call. So many people do cool things, but don't think through the "what if's...". I'm going to look up these parts, create a list and see how feasible (easy) it will be to install. I'm glad it doesn't require any special bracket or custom parts. Hardest part seems to be the...

Installing Rear view/backup camera - what wire & where to trigger it?

I got excited when I read of this in this thread. I watched several reviews on YouTube and although it seems to be a solid unit (like most INNOVV products) I was left thinking that the execution of the GUI and controls are lacking. I don't think you can adjust the screen brightness easily...

Has anyone seen or have info on this electric Ryker shifter mod?

I'd love to find that information. The video I found is using a DC linear actuator. I'd be interested to find the specs on this part...My search goes on. Thanks for the input!

Has anyone seen or have info on this electric Ryker shifter mod?

I came across this very short video researching how to make my wife's Ryker easier to shift without adding a gawky jockey shifter - large or small versions are ugly IMO. I was not able to find anything out of the normal shifter mods until this YouTube short...

Review: The Can-Am Ryker... A Great Ride!

I own both and disagree with some of your points. I find the Spyder much more civilized, smooth and easier to ride. Not all Spyder's have severe vibration, sprocket alignment issues. I don't. The Spyder has progressive power steering as well, making steering so much easier. You shouldn't...

Installing Rear view/backup camera - what wire & where to trigger it?

I use an Innovv dash cam on my Spyder. The cameras on the above link seem to be the same 1080p cam I have on the rear of my Spyder (2K front cam). I am quite happy with the video quality it provides. Innovv used a Spyder for one of their images showing the screen mounted, I thought that was...

Just had my 1st service done - they used 4T 0W40 synthetic oil - anyone else?

You are probably 100% correct. I don't have these same reservations on my Motorcycle or cars. I'm just new to the Spyder and some of it's unique service procedures.
