• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How do you secure your Helmets when leaving your bike?

I do the same as many of you do. Usually I Get off the bike and set my lid on the seat, and go shopping, eating, have a cuppa. USUALLY! If I’m in a high crime area I’ll either lock it in the frunk or take it in with me. just my $0.02 worth!

Dipping my big toe in to check the water

Another way of looking at it is to lower your sights. .... I bought a used (estate sale) 2014 RTS. No, it’s not a Ltd and it isn’t the “New” style RT, BUT it is the 1330, it is an RT, it does like being ‘farkled’ and most importantly ..... it’s fun to ryde and it serves me well. (Did I mention...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Sorry to hear that NorwegianRT. I’m lucky, living on the west coast of Canada on the lower mainland. I keep my RT licensed all year, but usually wind up using it about 10 months of the year. Just curious about Norway and where you live. My father was born in Norway (somewhere near the...

Dipping my big toe in to check the water

Gotta agree with that sentiment, Mikey. I started riding three wheels 8 years ago. I’m 80 now, and I have no idea how much time I have left, but I’m going to continue as long a I can, and yeah......I’m up for a steaming hot cuppa joe!

New product for a little security - Jump Starter/Air Compressor combo

I used to have to replace the battery on my GW every year, even though I pulled the battery and stored it on a wooden shelf in my basement (hoping that just maybe I’d get a second year out of it). My ‘14 RTS original battery lasted 5 years. Have to wait and see how long the second one lasts.

Pulled pork .... From a pressure cooker

Mine is just a wee bit different, instead of PC I’m using my SC (instead of pressure cooker I’m using slow cooker) and I’m using pineapple juice. Damn, the house is already smelling fantastic and there’s about 4 to 5 hours cooking time to go.

Upgraded from 2016 to 2023 F3, need to upgrade seat - recommendations?

There is only one person on this forum that can accurately answer that......and that’s YOU. We are all built differently. What’s good for me may be crap for you. jmho

Pulled pork .... From a pressure cooker

I’ve used a pressure cooker for years. My mother used them when I was a toddler. Back then, they sometimes were overheated and deposited the meal on the ceiling (I never saw that), but todays pressure cookers are pretty well fool-proof but you do have to pay attention. PC cooking blends all...

Adding Ride On to your tires - Good, Bad, Opinions?

I’ve been riding M/C since I was 16 and I’m 80 now. During that time, I’ve never had a wheel balance problem, and only once have I actually suffered rolling flat tire. Also during that time I have never, ever put any kind of goop into my tires and I don’t intend to start now. Also in that...

This has changed the Handling of the SPYDER completely... it's like a new bike!

My 2014 RTS handled quite well from factory also, but QUITE WELL is not REAL WELL!

    Random thought for the day

I have to laugh at that. After HS my first job was in the accounting department of an Insurance Company. Go figure!

    Random thought for the day

I hated them damn things. Maybe that’s why I always did poorly in math.

How many of you have had Parking Brake motor failures?

As far as I know, mine has never been replaced. I’m a second owner, having purchased it from an estate when it was less than a year old.

A Request Passed On To All - Add your Spyder/Ryker Year/model to your Sig Line!

Now, if only more would do this, it would make life so much easier....thank you! (and yes, your signature bar does indeed show your year and model).

    Random thought for the day

Left out the wearing of clam diggers...also hearing the testing of air raid sirens while walking to school or watching the steam engine locomotives, or seeing the first sabre jets fly overhead. Those were the days of NO tv, no ‘puters, no calculators. You used your imagination. Your...

No way to miss - so which tire to hit it with?

10 seconds is a nice thought....I try to use the 3 second rule with either my Spyder or my car and with either I wind up with vehicles cutting in on the 3 second vehicles. I sometimes think that I’m going backwards.

    Happy CANADIAN Thanksgiving

Well, today is the beginning of our long weekend, with Thanksgiving day being Monday. I would just like to take this opportunity to wish all my Canadian brothers and sisters a Happy Thanksgiving and to remind everyone to be extra vigilant when you’re on the roadway with either two/three or four...

Why buy an F3 rather than an RT?

This just shows you that we are all different. For me, the F3 seating position is all wrong. Sitting IN it slows my accessing the brake much SLOWER. Sitting ON the RT allows me quick access to the brake, sooooo..... MUCH SAFER. This all on the pre-20’s, can’t speak on the post 20’s.

What add-on parts are best and necessary on 2023 RT Ltd?

and that is not necessarily so. That was one of the last things I added.

Do I really need to replace the DESS & ignition for key replacement.- 2014 RT-S?

I believe that the Spyders prior to 2014 CAN be cloned.
