• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Battery Died and sat on a 2020 RTL

The NOCO case is kind of flexible, I have mine smashed down into the bottom of the rear trunk. I chose this one because it has 1000 amps, roughly double the size of the units that are slightly smaller.

Just got the New Version V20.80 Firmware on my 2018 RT

Turn your key on and push the mode button. When the screen boots up, use the left had joy stick to navigate. Push in to get menu, scroll down to get the gear symbol, scroll to select the About symbol. Software revision will be in there.

New Battery Died and sat on a 2020 RTL

Mr. 2dogs, Everything you could want to know about the GB40, the small 1000 amp jump pack. Scroll down for measurements. Make sure you get the newer model with the slim jaws on the clamps, there's a lot of the older models running around. https://no.co/gb40 I also got the case for protection...

C-130 Coulson Firefighter Crashes in Austrailia

Best I can remember it made the news when it happened. 3 Americans were the flight crew, and I believe the description mentioned an accelerated stall. The model of airplane was grounded until investigation made sure this wasn't a common issue, haven't heard of the outcome. That's the best I...

New Battery Died and sat on a 2020 RTL

After the battery fiasco I went and purchased a NOCO GB40 jump pack. Seems pretty well made. If I would have had that at the time I could have made it home, dead cell and all. Many thanks to Spectacuarl Spiderman (Yes, it is apelled like that) for the timely and informative link...

New Battery Died and sat on a 2020 RTL

The Marsala red is the only color I didn't see. The sales guy said it was more of a Burgundy color, which I can believe because all the colors seem darker that the Can Am pictures depict when viewing in the wild.

New Battery Died and sat on a 2020 RTL

I replaced it with A Deka AGM with the same rating. For all I know it came from the same factory as the Yuasa. I'm not sure if the Yuasa YTX24HL is an AGM or just a sealed lead acid. I've had much better service from AGM batteries, my last one lasted 8 years and even then didn't fail...

New Battery Died and sat on a 2020 RTL

Yuasa made in USA battery, 10 months old. Died very suddenly. Bad cell. Took it out and brought it to the dealer to test and replace, and of course they didn't have a replacement in stock, but at least confirmed it was bad. Typical. They could have told me that they didn't have one before I...

    Got New RT...mystery solved

I'm a plus one for dealer prep. My RTL came to me low on coolant and missing the rear shock centralizer bushings. Spyderpops noticed my rear shock offset to the side when he aligned my bike. Sealer told me it came from the factory that way.

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

:agree:. Added note- Don't raise the bike too high to use your feet to assist with the wheel lift, especially if using Kenda Canine tires. As an aside, if you ever put any lubricant on the wheel studs (or any bolt for that matter) you must reduce the torque by the proper amount based on the...

One year on the road. Is is just me ?

I was going to stay out of it, because I'm the squeaking wheel. I've had a horrible time with my 2018 RTL. Bought April 2019, new with 0 miles. In May with 800 miles I replaced the Kenda front tires because they wouldn't balance. Put car tires on. First parking brake failure and water pump...

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

Ok, I'll contribute. So how do you think a Kenda Canine will handle with a Amsoil leak onto the rear treads vs a Mobil 1 racing leak onto the treads? Do you suppose the oil leaks will exacerbate the parking brake failures on the '18 and '19 models, especially when fitted with the Kenda tires?

1330cc Causes for sudden jump in fuel consumption 2017 RTL

Do you guys have Winter and Summer fuel blends down under? Some folks have noted significantly different performance levels between the two. Are you filling up at the same places? I once ran a stretch of superhighway through Oklahoma that had a certain brand assigned to lengthy sections, and...

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

In an earlier thread I got "corrected" by a legal beagle grammar police about using the term "Test Pilot" in reference to tires. Even with all the education, this person couldn't make the connection between determining the envelope at your own peril and accepting what has been (marginally)...

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

Just to throw this out there, actual sidewall data from the tires Rear Kenda OEM (Not canine) Made in China 225/50R15- Load Rating 76H (892 lbs) @ 30 Lbs Tread 2 Ply Steel +1 Ply Polyester Sidewall 1 Ply Polyester Vredestein (I chose the V Rated one) Made in...

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

Mr. Peter, One of the reasons I phrased my query as I did was my inability to get 4 PSI on the front tires at any time. At 14 PSI I only saw about 1.5 - 2 PSI increase. Below 14 PSI the sidewall began widening the tread footprint test, so I couldn't go lower. Hence the tire tread pyrometer...

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

OK fellers, help me out. I went through this process and it seems to work (for me), but I'd like confirmation from the folks who actually are in the know. Determining inflation pressures from a blind start. I used the footprint test, tire pressure increase, and finally a tire pyrometer. I...

2016 RTL Tri-Axis handlebar install question

Mr. Rickster48, I had Tri-Axis bars installed at the dealer, but I installed my harness and mount for the Garmin 595. I'm not too sure about what you're asking as you said you're in the removal phase. A couple of possibly helpful hints about my installation. The harness runs down through the...

What's the purpose of "SpyderLover Rider Map Discussions"?

I found this when I drilled down. "The map system will add an info post for your pin in this forum." Apparently if you do a post in there it will show a map with a pin and you can add your info.

Darn! Wish I'd a known that before buying. What was shipping from RockAuto? Probably less than $20 total, I bet.
