• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Loudest horns ever on a spyder. Yup, I did it again!

Loudest horns ever on a spyder? Yup, I did it again! I have been trying for 2 years to figure out how. Today I did it!!! I put train horns on my Spyder! These are the ROCKERS from Hornblasters.com and they are deafening!!! I can still switch to the regular horn and the power unit is easy...

Need to get more slack wiring for Helibar Install - anyone else? Solutions?

Don't pull too hard. There is a zip tie holding the extra wire on the right side. I found it when I installed my helibars. I think you have to remove the body panel on the right side to see it and access it. I remember pulling my glove box out, but I think you can get to it with the right...

The oil plug- Murphy showed up today.

I have done many oil changes on my Spyders over the years and never had an issue. Today Murphy stopped by and stripped out the head of the transmission plug. I ordered the upgraded oil plugs from value accessories. I am hoping an easy-out will grip the plug enough to remove it. Those darn...

Any recommendations for upgraded battery with more CCA’s?

I agree. I have seen Spyders with the brake lts stuck on after bike is shut off. Not only on the new Spyders, but on earlier years also.

998cc Can anyone with 2013 ST Ltd shop manual copy pages for me?

Yup, that is a shim washer to make the caliper parallel to the rotor. Some Spyder have them, some don't.

Bugs !@#$@# What will get them off?!

Go to NAPA and get Bugs-B-Gone. It is what we used at the body shop and the bugs melt away like magic and leave a perfectly clean surface. Its made by SeaFoam so you know its a quality product!

Proof I can customize more than just Spyders

It's not about how far I plan on going. It will probably rarely leave my yard, except to run up the street to get gas. I just love making things unique. It keeps my brain busy. I suffer from PTSD and anxiety attacks, and doing stuff like this keeps my mind in another place and makes me...

Proof I can customize more than just Spyders

I have this problem where I have to keep my brain busy or else I lay in bed at night and can't sleep because I can't turn my brain off. I really wish I had my own shop where I could do this type of stuff all day for people and make money at it. My job at General Electric Company is boring...

Proof I can customize more than just Spyders

I bought myself a Christmas gift. A Toro 50" zero turn mower. Most of you have seen my custom Spyders, but I can make anything unique. Here is what I did to my Zero turn! Front headlights Taillight Rear Strobes floormat front and rear fenders fabricated by me folding rear rack fabricated by...

20+ RT OEM Floorboard Lights or TricLED's version - which do you like?

I have the TricLED version. Personally I think the BRP version is better installation wise. The TricLED version is held in place with 2-sided tape which is prone to failure. The BRP version is attached securely and the wiring is better. The only thing better about the TricLED version is the...

Curious..... anyone thought of Heads up display on their Spyder? Or helmet?

I have a heads up display on my spyder, It projects the speed on my windshield. My windshield is dark smoke, so it works very well. I also have one on my dad's spyder, but it is harder to see and has double vision because it is projected onto the stock windshield.

Looking for feedback/input for R/C airplanes

I always found the bigger ones easier to fly because they are easier to see, less twitchy, and less affected by the wind. They do affect the wallet though. There is over $20,000 in planes in that photo. I got out of the hobby when I started riding motorcycles.

2014 RTS ate a belt today!!! Teeth missing!

The rear wheel gets really cruddy. That is why I clean it. Just saw a recent facebook post of another 2014 RTS with the same exact problem. The answer there was, once one tooth leaves the belt, the rest follow in rapid succession. Age of the belt was the assumed cause of the belt failure...

BRP denies warranty claim on water in fuse box - any ideas on next steps?

As long as your inner covers are dry, you are OK. The outer covers are exposed to the elements. If you remove the outer covers in the trunk, you can actually reach in through the suspension opening and into the frunk next to the fuse box. Most people don't realize this. I remove those covers...

2014 RTS ate a belt today!!! Teeth missing!

Stored in a garage. Belt tension is set using a cricket to spec. There are several teeth on the belt that are almost broke off. I inspected both pulleys for foreign objects and damage. Nothing found. The only thing I found suspicious was freeplay in the front pulley. No red dust and no...
