• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I carried my GL1800 rear wheel in to Walmart several times to have run-flat car tires installed. Very inexpensive, too. Will probably try that when the Spyder needs them.

    The advantages are great for carbureted engines, and that is all that mine see. Fuel economy is the main one for fuel injected engines as long as they don't set unused fo 6 months straight.

    I rode to bike night at the Tea Room on Tuesday evening. Temps in mid 30's (F). But, I have heated gloves and jacket liner. Nice and toasty on the RTL.

    2021 RTL USB in the trunk not working. Any ideas? Troubleshooting?

    So far the USB in the trunk of our '21 RTL has worked fine to power the old LG phone that I use for listening to MP3s. Powers up with the bike, so I have to remember to power up the bike at least weekly to recharge the phone battery.

    I don't have pictures, but on our 396 I drilled and tapped a small hole through the release that takes (as I remember) a #7 Torx (tiny). I keep a driver for it in the frunk. At least, if someone knows the location of the release button they can't walk by and snatch it. Don't know if the XT uses...

    On my 2021 RTL the uppers are moderately effective, lowers not so much. On the GL1800 the Bakers were GREAT!

    I still have a custom GL1000, but sold the GL1800 after buying the RTL this year. Just not enough garage space for them all, and when two-up touring it was taking chances whenever pulling into a gravel parking lot.

    Comfort Seat Worth it?

    My wife sat on a regular 2021 and a Sea to Sky. The comfort seat is the same as the one on the S2S except the stitching and logo. She said get the comfort seat.
