• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Whoa Nellie! Large oil patches on roads left by cars!

On my way in to bike night yesterday evening, I was following four cars on a two-lane, when all of the sudden out from under the car in front of me appeared a large fresh puddle of oil. They had all straddled it, but the rear wheel of the RTL went right through it, and WOW! what a dance she did...

I don't like my driver's backrest - any better options?

On my 2021 RTL, it just pulls straight up and off. Back on just as easy.

I don't like my driver's backrest - any better options?

125k miles with Utopia on my GL1800, put one on the '21 RTL when purchased and ~9000 on it. Thumbs up from me!

Front Wheel Balance and Balance Beads

Are you sure the old weights were removed when the new tires were installed?

Seat Strut won't hold up seat - any non-OEM replacements?

My '21 RTL works fine, and with the "comfort" seat. If the dealer is not a long drive away, make them order a new strut (be prepared to wait months) and CALL you when it comes in.

Rear Tire Pressure - General Altimax RT43

This sure wandered far from recommended rear tire pressure for the G A tire. BTW, I can see one reason that Deana prefers the higher pressure - it would make steering much easier. Not meaning to speak for hr, but maybe she doesn't see riding the Spyder as a performance challenge.

Is the General Altimax RT45 an upgraded RT43?

New Altimax mounted and installed. Still need to try it out and check belt alignment. Hope it is right, because it is a bear taking the hitch off & on to get to the axle and tension bolts.

My Spyder wish list - what's yours?

Maybe not for BRP - I understand their fear of lawsuits. But, someone could surely hack the OS (they've hacked your corporate system already) so we don't have to press the Mode button every startup. I'd pay $50 for that. For BRP - I just pulled my rear wheel off of my '21 RTL to get the tire...

Is the General Altimax RT45 an upgraded RT43?

Wow. Took the rear off the RTL a while ago. It sure was easier on the GL1800! Complicated of course by having a trailer hitch on it. But, it's off and I'll take it and the new tire to the shop tomorrow. He said bring it in early and I should be able to pick it up just before closing. Not a...

Is the General Altimax RT45 an upgraded RT43?

Due to the mass of positive reports, I have ordered an RT43. Only 8744 on the original Kenda rear and it is at the wear bars on the sides and the wear bars are almost gone near the center.

Is the General Altimax RT45 an upgraded RT43?

Is this just an updated RT43? Listed at the same price on Tire Rack.

Super excited - trading in Harley's on a 2022 RTL!

That does indeed sound like a good deal. Hope your parts come soon. A local dealer that I spoke with is slowly getting '22 Spyders on the floor as the missing parts come in.

End of the GoldWing is an annual rumor. Normally reserved for the PMS months, however.

Hi Ladies! Hot weather riding pants recommendations?

NOTHING is hotter than sliding on asphalt! My wife wears Fieldsheer 4 seasons armored mesh overpants over whatever she desires (I require the armor - what goes under is her option). Shorts work in humid weather, but not hot dry when it is over ~90F. Light hiking pants (sporting goods stores) are...
