• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fix for the odd sized Pushpins in RT Black Panels!

My local ACE hardware carries button head SS Allens in both metric and ASE.

Are there "Run Flat" tires for Spyders?

I put over 80000 miles on run flat car tires on the rear of my GL1800. They ran smoother than MTs, but we ran the pressure much lower. ~3X the mileage per tire, equal handling on dry roads and better on wet or gravel in turns. Might be an option for the rear of an RT, but not sure of the...

Does Anybody Know What Time It Is?

I haven't seen that issue on the '21 RTL, but occasionally the entertainment system "locks up" - won't change songs via Bluetooth, input, volume, etc. Key off/on has fixed it so far.

How do you guys with multiple bikes handle Riding other bikes?

Great riding weather is here and the rest of my stable comes out - a '78 GL1000, a '76 RD400, and a '72 Triumph Trident that I just finished rescuing. It's hard enough for this old brain to re-program for changing from the '21 RTL to the Japanese bikes, but changing to the British...

    My new Utopia Backrest

If my wife rides with me, the Utopia comes off, and I use her for a very comfy backrest. Did the same on our '06 GL1800.

2022 RTL windshield sometimes won't auto retract - anyone else? Ideas?

My '21 RTL has been that way since new. Doesn't really bother me, but then I could live fine with a manual adjust like my old '06 GL1800 had. I usually only adjust when beginning/ending a run on a super slab with the wife on board. Or for rain.

Fuel Average Reset, Now Gaining too Much MPG - any ideas?

I believe the mileage calculation is way off, and moreso right after a reset. It is a running average from the last reset. If reset just before very gentle operation, it will be high. If reset just before accelerating up a hill, it will show low. After about 200 miles it will average out closer...

Has anyone installed modulator head lights?

Need to read up on the law. Flashing is NOT legal - only modulating between specific brightness levels within specific frequencies.

Has anyone installed modulator head lights?

Had them on my GL1800. I really liked them, but beware that other motorists are not educated and may be iritated, flash their headlights at you, pull over, slow down etc. But, they may also stop poking in the left lane and let you pass. Remember that being seen better also makes you a better...

What is the best way of wearing glasses with a modular full face helmet?

I've been 400/20 uncorrected since my teens, with a 1.25 astigmatism in each eye. Wear glasses into and out of the shower each morning. With my HJC Symax or ISMax, and a HELMET LINER. I always wear wire frames, and leave them on while donning, removing the helmet. The liner prevents the helmet...

Would be nice to have a 2020 & Up RT only category on here

I agree with the need. The 20+ are as different as 18+ GoldWings from previous 1800s. Should aid both those seeking 20+ info and others seeking older, plus maybe encourage posting only 20+ info and not confusing issues.

Re TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEMS. Which one?

Is there a way to stop it from alarming on the missing 4th sensor? Seems this would be great for us, as we sometimes pull a Uni-go (single wheel) trailer.

Spyder radio is worthless - any solution to this problem?

My '21 RTL was very slightly improved by changing to a longer aftermarket antenna - maybe 10% improvement. Luckily, for local riding I have the choice of three contemporary Christian stations (my preference) to choose from. I also have an old cell phone with blank SIM and much of my collection...

Re TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEMS. Which one?

I'm considering getting this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZL2ZB92/?coliid=I1LYELUE7A5KOE&colid=1GJY26Q7Q8CV8&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1 I had a similar system on my GL1800 that worked well as long as it was on "T" stems.

Navydad..in regards to your comment for PSA...

Same here, except I demanded antibiotics as soon as I felt the infection and headed septis off. BTW, that urologist ordered the biopsy without even a digital exam, and wanted to operate when atypical was the finding although PSA was <4. Needless to say, I went to another urologist, who did his...

Navydad..in regards to your comment for PSA...

Yes, be watchful. Mine went into the high 20's lastfall after a bout of prostatitis (hit me two years in a row, while at Barber Vintage Weekend) and was only down to 5 something by December. A month of antibiotics in January to assure bacteria are gone and it is now down around 4. Will have it...

Firmware update on 2021 Spyder RTL

I never had trouble with starting, so can't comment on the first. The fix for the second issue was marginal at best. Mine was flashed late last summer.
