• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Sadddlebag Issues

Originally that was the issue with the right bag. It wouldn't open without pushing on the lid. I took the back end apart last night and adjusted the cable. Hopefully I have it fixed. Locking the bag all the time is a pain in the ass and shouldn't be required.

    Drinking and Riding

I agree 100% with you. Yet in IA when they passed a no texting law, it was a $35 fine and LEOS chose to ignore it for "more important" concerns. I think they should all be treated to a hefty fine. Sometimes money is the only thing that talks.

    Sadddlebag Issues

Thank you for the video. It does look like it is easy enough to do. Value Accessories has luggage but nothing to actually secure the luggage in the bag. I may have to come up with my own solution.

    Sadddlebag Issues

My wife has a 2018 RTL. A couple of weeks ago the left saddlebag wouldn't open so she took it to the dealer. They adjusted both saddlebags and now the right one continually pops open. 8 times in a 100 mile ride to be exact. When we took it to the dealer on Saturday, the tech said she wasn't...

is it ok to wear shorts driving a can am spyder?

Road rash is the same as a 3rd degree burn. Prepare for the crash. Don't let a third wheel make you think you are any safer than a motorcycle. ATGATT - All the gear all the time A website to give you some insight: http://www.rockthegear.org/

    Gel inserts

A word of caution on the gel inserts. I installed the gel inserts on one of my previous bikes. It helped considerably with the seat comfort. The thing that the seat guy told me was to make sure that I covered the seat on a hot day when I was parked. The gel pad will absorb and retain heat making...

Trying to find a seat for our 13 rt limited

Due to your height, I would contact Russell Day Long seats. You will have to send your seat pan in. I just got the seat on my BMW R1200RT done this past winter. I resisted spending the money and tried another aftermarket seat 1st. I won't make that mistake again. Great investment. They...

    Anyone make armored chaps?

They make overpants just for instances like you are asking about. Chaps might look cool but really don't offer any protection to the body.

    New to Can Am

My wife bought a Spyder RT last fall after six 2 wheelers and 140K miles. She is short so all the challenges of being vertically impaired sometimes made it hard to handle the bike. Her last bike was an Indian Chieftain which isn't a small bike and neither were her bikes before that one. After...

    Maps

Rever is just OK. It is good for tracking where you have been but navigation to a location is pretty lame. Also, if I am going to pay a monthly fee to get the usable app, I would just buy Genius Maps. It isn't perfect, but it works better than the cellular based apps in areas where service is an...

    Test rode my first RT

My wife rides a 2018 RT Limited and I am still on 2 wheels. We test rode the F3 and the RT. My wife has over 150K miles on a 2 wheeler in the past 8 years. It took her about 1,000 miles to get used to the Spyder but now she loves it. I take it out on occasion and really enjoy riding it myself...

How many miles is too many?

A bike with higher mileage sometimes is a good buy vs. a bike that is say 10 years old with 10K miles on it. Just like a car, if it sits around most of the time things tend to gum up in the engine. I would rather buy a 3 year old vehicle with 70K miles on it that has been driven everyday by a...
