• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Alaska Leather sheepskin pad vs. butt buffer

Have a custom saddle made to fit you. I’ve had Russel day long and a couple of Laamseats. I like the Laam better. The sheepskin allows air to circulate, so you are more comfortable. The properly fitted saddle eliminates butt pain. Worth every penny! We normally do 30,000 miles a year. I could...

Anyone own a Handy BOB Lift? Any better options?

I have a big blue. It’s great, but it takes up space I don’t have. Was about $750, plus shipping. I’d sell it for half that. Come pick it up - everyone needs a trip to Las Vegas!

I can not get my front trunk open! Help?

Pop off the left speaker cover. Look to see if the cable is broken or disconnected. If so, fish it out and tug on the cable, holding the sheath. It will open. If it is disconnected, remove both headlights, and reconnect it. If it’s broken, remove both headlights and replace it. Call if you get...

Want to set up mechanical handbrake on 2020 RT LTD for an amputee Vet

Bill, I think it might work, but, you will need added springs. You throw codes if the brake is ridden. A better solution is ISCI, but, a mechanical link from right to left would be easy. I’ll look at that when I get home from Florida.

Pull the motor to replace Pan gasket on a 15 RTL?

The engine cradle to remove the engine is not cheap. Not clear on pan gasket. Not sure on why it is not running. I would trailer it to a dealer. Let them diagnose what’s wrong. These are quite oil tight, so, I’m thinking over filled. Good for you trying to help. Good luck!

F3 Black Painted Plastic Scratches - any fixes?

Ships are safe in port; that’s not what ships are for! They get used, they get blemishes. Scratches, bugs, dirt, rain, hail….. Ride it, wash it, repeat. You can’t rack up miles without racking up scars. Bugs die. It happens. As long as it runs, is properly maintained, and is clean…..it’s a...

Dealer freight and dealer assembly fees - are these normal?

Freight is common to all. I just got another ADV bike, and paid far more. BRP charges all dealers the same, otherwise, everyone would fly to the closest dealer to Valcourt, and buy there! The assembly piece is just that - the tech has to uncrate it, put it together, do the inspection, gas it up...

What's the best Rear Tire for my 2015 RT Ltd?

With shortages and scarcity, black and round is good. The General, Yokohama, etc are in many threads. Type in the size, and see what is available. Then choose.

What's needed to remove the Frame pieces and foot rest brkt?

Support the engine. Remove frame pieces. Powdercoat. Replace. You might have to jack the engine up or down a hair to fit, but not that hard to do. I did a belt last year; a couple of tries to get the bolt holes to line up, and it went right back together. Joe

Thinking on upgrading 2019 RT to 2022 RT - what gear will transfer?

20 and up RT has long floorboards. No need to swap. Backrest does not fit the new-different seat completely. The new RT has a belt tensioner. No need to swap. I’ll have a 22 the first week in March, so I’ll double check on the belt tensioner. The 20 RT is better in many ways: ride, handling...

Lost key - how do I get one made without it?

Remove the lock assembly from the rear trunk. Take it to a locksmith. He can cut the keys. Make sure the keys turn the locks. Now buy 2 chipped keys, and have the locksmith cut them to match your cheap, Unchipped keys. Now take them to the dealer, along with your bike, and have the chips...
