• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just ordered a Wilbers 640 rear shock! :)

Any idea what they are sending you for a spring with the shock?

2019 RT brake pedal still travels too far with new front pads installed. How do I get it back to normal?

Also keep in mind that changing the rear brake pads could very well make your pedal feel worse since you have introduced yet another set of multiple surfaces that will have to "wear in" to their happy place before the space is taken up. Imagine your rotors are worn out of parallel (concave...

Has anybody found an A/mkt Air bag replacement?

My preference is to spring the vehicle for the loads normally seen and then use the bag to increase spring rate/maintain ride frequency when a passenger or cargo is added. Elka missed our rates by a mile so I have to pull the shocks off and swap the springs out now. I haven't gotten a number...

2019 RT brake pedal still travels too far with new front pads installed. How do I get it back to normal?

Yes, but DOT 5.1 is compatible with DOT3/4 - it has a higher boiling point.

2019 RT brake pedal still travels too far with new front pads installed. How do I get it back to normal?

If the system wasn't open, I would guess that after the hardware/paint backing compresses and the pads wear into the concave rotor surface, things would be back to normal. I'd flush the brake system w/ DOT5.1 fluid regardless, as it is recommended every 2 years.

A New Look - How about an Oil/Fuel thread? Fuels can reduce wear...

Being a techy guy myself in the automotive/powersports business... I personally enjoy Lake's research and believe in what he says. I don't really care what the guy looks/sounds like... That said, most of these machines will live longer than we own them just putting the cheapest oil and fuel in...

Retailers finally getting caught not posting product reviews below 4 stars!

I have noticed a few sites that have disabled reviews like Cyclegear and Revzilla. Hard to make a decision on something like sizing without other buyer feedback.

Share your experiences with Performance shocks for 2023 RT's?

If you care to know your spring rate, you might be able to see the print on the coil through the side of the body work.

Feedback on the new Forum Format?

I like the new format better overall, but find the max pic upload size is too small to just attach a simple pic from cell phone.

What Communication devices do you use between rider/pillion & other riders in your group?

I started with Pactalk Bold becuase it was waterproof, but upgraded to Edge when the wife started riding. No complaints overall except we could use a bit more range at times. I have been looking at possibly adding bluetooth UHF radios to the mix to stretch things out, but it's just 2 more...

Do you know what rear spring rate they supplied you? RT or F3 model?

Share your experiences with Performance shocks for 2023 RT's?

I would never have been interested in installing a heavier front spring on the OEM shock as the damping was already lacking and springs would just further exploit that weakness? Night and day difference in ride and control over the rough stuff after the Elka's were installed even though things...

Any Pics of 2020+ RT Daylong or Laam Driver's Seats?

I suspect Seth is struggling with high demand and hasn't taken the necessary steps to handle it. Could just be poor business management skills or a mental health issue. I can sympathize with anyone who struggles with mental health........In my case I have SEVERE sleep apnea (untreated till...

Any Pics of 2020+ RT Daylong or Laam Driver's Seats?

Do yourself a favor and skip Laam.....Seth had quite the reputation locally (he has since moved to West Virginia?), but of course I didn't really find out until after I was in the middle of a seat build with him. Seth was super cool at first so I had him build one for my Harley, but then he...

Planning a Pacific Coast Highway trip - looking for suggestions

I'm not sure what you goals are for this trip and what you tolerance is for heavy traffic, high lodging expense, and just overall BS so take what I say with that into consideration. I strait up HATE name branded locations because they attract the most and worst kind of people. My/our personal...

So I assume there is a threshold where the stability control takes over and you have to stay below or do you have to just slow down at the same speed as the tire in the air? Seems like it chops the throttle and brakes pretty quickly as the wheel comes up? If this was my bike, I'd probably find a...

Saturday night we were out on a Christmas light tour, and I lifted the front tire on a roundabout. Next stoplight the guy who was behind us was freaking out saying we lifted a front tire... My wife told the guy that it's normal and I do things like that to piss her off! :yikes:
