• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    VREDESTEIN QUATRAC SL - Thanks Mike

    ~~~it’s my understanding Pep Boys will install car tires on your Spyder rims but bring the wheels only to them, not your Spyder, so you will have to remove your wheels yourself. Also, might be a good idea not to mention your wheels are off a motorcycle. Some have said if they ask what the...
    ~~~a little difficult to get to? ~~~more than a little difficult to get to as this bolt and nut is right beside it so unless you have an extended 6mm Allen, you wont get a good perpendicular drive onto that drain with a standard length socket ~~~here’s the rest of what’s in the way, at...

    Doing 1st oil change (Spyder RT) I have a few questions (((Pics)))

    Pliers I tried using last night, along with the hemostats I’m using today. That said, once i get the hemostats to grip the tubing, I pull and the hemostats slips off the tubing. Made 1/2 dozen attempts (at least), no luck removing the 1/4” tubing. I’m beginning to think when the assembler at the...

    Doing 1st oil change (Spyder RT) I have a few questions (((Pics)))

    ~~~I actually tried removing said piece of 1/4” tubing last night with the pair of needle nose pliers I have. The reach my pliers have couldn’t get a bite on that tubing, & I didn’t have the state of mind to use the hemostats I have. I’m thankful shooter mentioned that was what he used...
    Cretin Girl is still in the dungeon (my garage) up on the ramps and the rear is suspended in the air via a floor jack lifting the frame support around the rear shock w/wood support so the shock bolt is not doing the heavy lifting=:-) Anywho, how do you remove the brake fluid reservoir?!? I...
    ~~~right service cover removed. Admittedly, I was a bit hesitant pulling this service cover, remembering horrors of finding broken tabs on various Tupperware covers used on the 93’ Honda ST1100 I bought 3rd hand. Actually, I was pleasantly surprised how robust (IMO) this service cover tabs...

    Doing 1st oil change (Spyder RT) I have a few questions (((Pics)))

    Quick question- Is the oil filter under the right or the left service cover? Just starting to drain the oil (engine side first, as if it makes a difference). My owners manual is a little confusing on this point (which side cover the oil filter access is at) Thanking you in advance! Best...

    Wow! You guys are amazing!! Okay, I learned a lot reading the replies. So what did Jake learn? Jake learned the the drain bolt on the right side of the trike is the transmission drain and that the engine drain is on the left side. Roger that! Jake also learned that he made a false move by...

    ~~~ thanks Mike!, I can figure out what type of socket, etc. to get the proper bite on the bung bolts, what I’m concerned with is verification, so the first pic, is that the engine drain bolt? I ask because the owner’s manual, the tiny line drawing, shows the location of the engine drain, to...
    Spyder Motor Oil Query - Soliciting Opinions (((Pics)))
    ~~~ You’re right, the early twins spec’d 4500 mile interval, and like Troop & Tom said, neither accumulates anything close to 9300 miles in a year’s time so as the factory spec’s, if you don’t accumulate 9300 miles in a year’s time, change the oil/filter once every 12 months. Problem solved...
