• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Gentlemen, Ladies!, i have good news to share. The OEM battery in the 2021 Spyder RTLimited i purchased new in early August of that year is in excellent condition as per the battery testing that was done on November 28th 2023. I took Thingfish’s battery to the battery shop i trust most with...

    Last ride of the season

    ~~~just saw your reply Peter. I musta missed it while replying to Mike. So it is a thing with my late model RT Limited, and according to you, I’ve cheated the executioner, as it were. Well, I’ll be guh damned & go to Hell. I thought something was fishy. I don’t put a lot of miles on my RT but...
    Last ride of the season
    ~~~thanks Mike for spotting my inquiry and answering it. Glad to hear you and I’ll assume others are expecting & getting 5-6 years from the Yuasa spec’d battery for the Spyder. I’ve only had 25 + month’s experience with mine so I didn’t know what to expect. I’ve had good longevity with Yuasa...

    Last ride of the season

    Best thing I ever did, move to Fla. from Detroit where I was born/raised, from a rider’s perspective. Why? It’s easier to shovel rain than it is to shovel snow. Currently and since 1985 we ride 51 out of 52 weeks a year. That said, no riding der Spyder (2021 RTL) this morning. Rode it from the...

    Looks like it's time to give up the ride - thoughts fm others who've faced this?

    Sounds to me you have already given up the Spyder Ray. Since that’s your decision, best of what life has to offer you and Marci, going the Jeep route. Makes sense to me. We had 2 Suzuki 4 wheelers when we lived in the lower Fla. Keys (85’-98’). Of course down there everywhere was either sea...

    ~~~congrats buying your 1st Spyder RT. I’m assuming this is your first, you didn’t really say. Just a hunch on my part. Also, you didn’t mention where in Ontario you reside. I’m an ex-Detroiter. Spent the first 29 years of my life in around Detroit but, spent many a summer sailing with Mom/Dad...
    Venting about Tire wear and alignment...
    ~~~~Ron, I’m going to guess getting a good alignment w/o ROLO comes with practice. Here’s what I know or shouldI say, has been my experience with two new BRP three wheelers and the boys (service techs) that set up the alignment on both machines were spot on. First was the 2020 Ryker Rally I...

    ~~~~prayers headin’ your way old guy. Hope you beat the rap. Not that anyone asked but, lots of cancer in my immediate family. Dad passed away from colon cancer back in the 80’s when it wasn’t the issue it is today. Mom died in '06 from both brain and lung cancer. My sister (11 years my senior)...
    Found a Spyder I like - Opinions please?
    ~~~you bought a 5 year old motorbike/trike, I’m sure it wasn’t stored in a museum all 5 of those years. Very few owners are willing to do what it takes to keep the paint/finish looking like new (DAMHIK) Not that you asked but, have fun with it, 5 year old paint and all that entails. If you keep...

    Found a Spyder I like - Opinions please?

    You asked for opinions. Here’s mine. I’ve tried to buy new Can Am’s from my local RideNow dealer twice now. Each time, it never came to closing the deal mainly because their pricing (each time) was several grand too high. I have friends in Kansas and as it were, both times I bought a new Can Am...

    Review: BRP Go! is going...going...GONE!!

    ~~~Just guessing but I would imagine (from what you’ve said), when you have your smartphone connected to BRP GO or whatever the proprietary onboard electronic wizardry is called, perhaps the clock function on the dash is being run through your smartphone, then it's coordinated with the atomic...
    What's causing this Wobble while braking?
    Just reading through this. All the Kenda hate, sheesh! I’ll reiterate, ive owned two late model Bombardier products both shod with Kenda tires (Ryker, RTL Spyder). No problems with tires. As for the OP here, I liked the lug nut suggestion but, I’ll bet it's a balance issue with one of the front...
