• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Seeking wisdom from the list about how best to lift the front with a jack?

    ~~~I’m guessing the 21mm socket you have is a 6 pointer. I have several 21mm sockets but, they’re all 12 points and they have too much slop to afford a good fit. Fortunately the 13/16th’s 12 point socket I’m using is a better fit Best, Jake Reddick Fla. It’s never too late to have a happy...
    Seeking wisdom from the list about how best to lift the front with a jack?
    ~~~I could run 90 MPH with both hands off the handlebars and Cretin Girl ran straight and true so the tire/wheel was balanced and the alignment is right on the money. That was before I lost all the air pressure in that tire then rode it 3 miles home totally flat which ruined the tire and why I...

    Seeking wisdom from the list about how best to lift the front with a jack?

    ~~~ well, I finally got that sucker off! ~~~ good time to have a look see to check brake pad wear. Both the inboard & outboard pads have plenty of friction material (pad) wear left, but then there’s only 8 Kmiles on the odometer, and I’m not one to “ride the brakes.” ~~~ this view may...
    Seeking wisdom from the list about how best to lift the front with a jack?
    ~~~both of the aforementioned sockets are from the same set of Kobalt tools. I got to thinking about what you said here, using 1/4” plywood so i rode up to my horse barn to have a look around at what kind of scrap plywood I might find and came onto a piece of scrap fence board (1/2” thick) I...

    Seeking wisdom from the list about how best to lift the front with a jack?

    ~~~awesome!, I like the way my 1/2” drive 6 point 13/16ths fits too, but I detect just a tad of play. The other socket I tried that came close but is sloppier is a 21mm 12 point (1/2” drive). If the 13/16ths 6 point has worked for you all those years/smiles, then I’ll call it done and use the...
    Seeking wisdom from the list about how best to lift the front with a jack?
    ~~~not that anyone asked, & I didn’t mention it but, the plan is for Jake to R&R the tires using hand tools, which is why I’m not concerned with lifting both wheels simultaneously. I can do them one at a time Best, Jake Reddick Fla. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while

    Seeking wisdom from the list about how best to lift the front with a jack?

    Great advice Gwolf & 2dogs. I like the compact scissors jack idea but, Jake is a little impatient tonight so e’s likely going to wing it wif the monstah floor jack, to R&R at least 1 wheel. Seriously good advice all around concerning the leather bits Where I’m slightly stumped (NOW)… I have a...

    Seeking wisdom from the list about how best to lift the front with a jack?

    I could use some assistance por favor. Jake is wanting to swap front tires on Cretin Girl, his 2021 RT Limited. I have no experience lifting the front end or either front wheel off the ground. I did some messages with Mike (BLUEKNIGHT911) awhile back and IIRC he said I could get a conventional...

    Is Maintenance Access any easier on an F3S?

    ~~~~strictly speaking for myself- If I based my buying decision on how easy something is to service, I’d still be riding Moto Guzzis. Others may have better and different ideas Best, Jake Reddick Fla. We always liked a bit of volume - Phil Campbell
    What size tire/wheel valve stems are used on 2021 Spyder RT?
    ~~~goto eBay and use 90 degree valve stem as your search. Now which 90 degree valve stem will work, you’re on your own=:-) That said, you shouldn’t have too hard a time coming up with the right valve stem. The brass stems with the rubber base (no locking nuts) will prolly work but again it’s a...

    What size tire/wheel valve stems are used on 2021 Spyder RT?

    ~~~I purchased several valve stems very similar to what you described here, may even be identical, except the ones I bought and used looked to be made out of brass. I used them on the 1992 BMW R100 GSPD I bought in December 2014. It was a one owner bike and although the owners rode it far and...
    What size tire/wheel valve stems are used on 2021 Spyder RT?
    ~~~copy that good buddy! My plan is to do the tire R&R myself using hand tools vs. taking my wheels/tires to a shop that does tire work.     What size tire/wheel valve stems are used on 2021 Spyder RT?

    Hi! I’m replacing the front tires on my 2021 Can Am Spyder RT Limited soon. The valve stems in the wheels are likely good for years to come but, it’s not a hard job to replace tire/wheel valve stems, so long as I can buy the correct size. Is this an item I can order from Amazon, which would...

    Is a Spyder a motorcycle, trike or something else?

    What licensing plate does your state require? Fla. has my Can Am designated as a motorcycle so, I had to purchase a motorcycle plate, or did I use a plate (motorcycle ) I had lying around?!? Guess it doesn’t matter, I affixed a motorcycle plate to it. Call it whatever you like. Life is...
