• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Will these 155/60R15 Vredestein's be too narrow for RT?

    ~~~i do my own tire work…dont need to find someone to do it for me. Try it sometime. It’s easy, even a caveman can do it=:-) Best, Jake Reddick Fla. Others may have better and different ideas
    Spyders passing HDs
    ~~~the Swing is fast but incapable in stocks trim of going over 100 MPH. I bought a first year model (2002) used in 2003. All subsequent Swings (motors, drivetrain are identical). No doubt, it was/is a screamer, and i proved it on more than one occasion by those that challenged me to stoplight...

    Anyone used thebikebarn Trike Shelter for their Spyder? What else?

    I’d buy a bike barn if SWMBO would allow it. Been splitting my Spyder’s parked time between up at the horse barn and in front of our house under one of two live oak trees. The bike barn would be ideal to set up under one of the live oaks. Of course I’d have to anchor it so the occasional high...

    Reddick to Jacksonville (Fla.) on a 2021 RT Limited

    Hello to all! I dont post a lot, & as far as that goes, I dont ride a lot either but I thought I’d talk about a ride I did at the front of this past week I made on my 2021 RT Limited from my homestead in north central Fla. up to Jacksonville Fla. Purpose of the ride- had some surgery scheduled...

    What 2020+ RT Limited seat options are there?

    In regards to Ru$$ell Day-Long seats & if they are worth the Jack, I’ve owned & ridden on 3 of them & was extremely pleased with each. First was a leather solo i bought for a 93’ Honda ST1100. I added hi-way pegs to the underside of the tip over wings which necessitated a back rest when using...

    Does your Phone Charge via BRP Connect's USB Plug/Cable?

    Never mind the verbiage on my sig line (thereabouts) citing the 2020 Ryker, i traded the Ryker in this past August for this gunship (2021 RT Limited). Just haven’t gotten around to updating my profile Best, Jake Reddick Fla. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while

    Last Ride - again !!!!!

    ~~~we started riding snow machines in the 60’s (Pt. Lookout MI), fill up with premix from a huge tank on the side of a Shell station in AuGres. Mrs. Jake and I found that it was easier to shovel rain, so we moved our operation to Fla. Best, Jake Reddick Fla.
    ~~~our riding season just started here in Fla. LOL. Nah, we ride 51 out of 52 weeks but this time of year, it’s not so darn hot. That said, im thinking of riding some south (lower Fla. Keys). Should be 10 degrees warmer. I like the cool weather & all but, much under 80 degrees Fahrenheit &I...

    Is this a Nanny Issue?

    ~~~with all due respect Pete, I understand what you’re saying but the same did not apply to my situation that day My concern trying to understand what happened, I don't get to ride as much as I would like and in 5 weeks I have to go up to Jacksonville and spend the night. I want to take the...
    Is this a Nanny Issue?
    ~~~you weren’t there Bert, I was. It came from my Spyder. I’m sane enough to know when and where a sound is or was coming from and it came from my Spyder’s exhaust system. As far as to everyone’s theories, I think Mikey might be on to something. His explanation seems the most plausible to me...

    Is this a Nanny Issue?

    I’m going to answer each and every one of you in one simple post. No!~I wasn’t wearing ear plugs, it wasn’t the fans kicking in or others subtle noises, it sounded like the damn exhaust had either come apart or, blew a hole in one of the exhaust cans. It was freaking loud, which leads me to...

    Is this a Nanny Issue?

    Hello all!, I had an experience riding my 2021 Spyder RT Limited home on the local interstate last week which caught me by surprise. It’s approximately 15 miles between the city and my rural homestead. I was on my way home after running some errands in Ocala (Fla.). I-75 has 3 lanes between the...

    Hub hole size on rear wheels?

    ~~~I had to take a look at this link. I bought pretty much the same kit 25+ Years ago. Back then I purchased it from an ad i found in the back of a motorcycle magazine. I can’t remember the manufacturer but I was a surprised when i saw the Dunlop trackside tire seller use the exact same rig when...
    Hub hole size on rear wheels?
    When I purchased a 92’ BMW R100GSPD back in late 2014 I went with Marc Parnes balancing system. I also purchased his cones to balance the front and rear wheels on the 2013 Vespa GTS I purchased new earlier that year. I emailed Marc to see if he has cones for my Spyder. His reply was yes...
    Recommend a Spyder shipping service?
    ~~~my experience too with Allied Van lines. Last time I used them was around 2001. When you first posted in this thread I wanted to tell you about a shipper I used in 2017 that only ships motorcycles, but I forgot the name of the business, & my record keeping is just as bad as my memory...

    2021 Windscreen Glare

    I bought a 2021 Spyder RTL in early August of this year. I have not experienced what you describe here. After experimenting with various windscreen height settings, I’ve come to the conclusion the lowest position works best for me in most all conditions. Occasionally I’ll ride to our...

    CannonBall Run on a Spyder?

    ~~~IMO it would be pretty easy to mod an aux fuel set up on a Spyder. Strap the fuel cell on the pillion and mod the OEM fuel cap to accept a fuel line. Place a flow valve (on/off) coming out of the fuel cell, in-line the fuel hose going to the OEM Spyder fuel cap. That’s basically how i modded...
