• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any Suggestions on where to place a Spyder emblem?

These are plastic. But your point is valid regardless. There are several areas that are flat, but only a few.

Any Suggestions on where to place a Spyder emblem?

I have two shiny silver Spyder emblems. I'm debating on where to stick these? Does anyone have any pictures of these attached to an F3L ?

Any ideas for unused passenger heated grips circuit and switch?

Anyone have a source for / or type of socket to use to plug in heated passenger gear? Of course the old cigarette lighter plug would not be an acceptable option. I would want an updated smaller 12v outlet of some sort. But it would need to be higher capacity and more sturdy than a USB.

Any ideas for unused passenger heated grips circuit and switch?

That's a good question. I've done the armrest install and wondered the same thing. Could it be a light switch. Or perhaps a panic button that my passenger could press ... to administer a shock to the driver's butt? :yikes:

Here be a newbie - with a bunch of questions about riding, twitchy handling, & brakes

This is the one I have. They may sell some additional options as far as size and shape. https://www.canamspyderaccessories.com/show-chrome-full-size-spyder-brake-pedal-with-spacer-all-rs-st-f3-and-rt-2010-2019/ I also put on the "Ultimate F3 Floorboards. Note that the longer brake lever is...

Here be a newbie - with a bunch of questions about riding, twitchy handling, & brakes

Regarding the "brake pedal contortionist's nightmare". My right foot just didn't want to turn naturally inward to hit the brake pedal. It helped me considerably to install a longer brake pedal. The factory pedal is too short and too close to the bike. The other thing was getting the full length...

Has anyone found & installed Brighter rear-facing lights on their F3L?

CRAP!!! Ok ... I learned my lesson on using cheap components. I installed the LED light strip and it appeared to work good for both running and brake light. However, when we went for our next ride that took us down a section of interstate, I turned on the cruise control and it would not...

Installed 7000 lumins Fog Lights on my 2021 F3 Limited

[I'm a little apprehensive to take my new Spyder apart, but it looks like from your posting and pics installing was not bad. Did your LEDs have the braided heat sink or the newer metal heat sink? I'm hoping for the latter on my kit and that the Amazon image is outdated. Show Chrome/Big Bike...

Moving 2021 F3 Ltd Pillion foot boards - any thoughts/suggestions?

I put on the kit to raise the passenger floorboards on our F3T. If you think raising them up would do as well as moving them back, I could upload a picture.

Has anyone found & installed Brighter rear-facing lights on their F3L?

I didn't think of the hot glue trick. Apparently the glue is non-conductive and a good insulator. My problem with hot glue is that it ALWAYS finds it way onto one of my fingers regardless of how careful I think I'm being ... :yikes:

Need help / advice. Buying a Spyder out of town (3000 miles away) with lien.

If you have a good relationship with your financial institution, they may help. But then again maybe not. I purchased a car that still had a lien. I knew someone at my credit union that I asked to work out the lien for me with the other bank. In my case he was a great help and if the two...

Has anyone found & installed Brighter rear-facing lights on their F3L?

"SOLDER it and seal with heat shrink" - sounds like good advise. I always keep a supply of heat-shrink tubing of various sizes and use it often. However, I didn't cut the wires in this case. I just trimmed the shield and soldered on the three new wires w/o actually cutting the existing wire...

Has anyone found & installed Brighter rear-facing lights on their F3L?

I'm finally getting back to this ... thanks for all the input!! I have an independent 3rd party LED strip. It has the two brightness leads and ground. So not needing more than one wire for each, I don't think I will use leverlocks. They have some advantages. But I'll use either the old style...

Throttle Tension - can it be changed?

Thanks for the replies. I'll probably just leave the throttle tension alone for now.

What bike did you ride to get your motorcycle license ??

I grew up in Kansas. There you didn't need anything but a normal drivers license to drive a motorcycle. (I don't know if that is still true today.) So I just bought a small Honda and rode. Later while living in Ohio I had to get a motorcycle license so I took the test on my Honda 450. As I...

Any riders with the Ultimate Tall Boy seat?

I'm 6'4" 240lb and had a custom seat made by Diamond Seats for my 21 F3L. This impacted both leg comfort and seat comfort since the factory seat was too soft. They have several style choices. But most important, you send them your height, weight, and inseam measurements. They choose the best...

Throttle Tension - can it be changed?

I often wish the throttle had more tension. If I push or pull with my throttle hand to make a tight turn, it's difficult to do this without moving the throttle. It would seem that a stiffer twist on the throttle would make this much easier instead of relying excessively on my left hand to make...

F3 2022 Trunk USB Port not charging - any ideas why? Fixes?

That reminds me, I need to put my USB tester on the trunk port. It indicates volt and amps. I'm wondering if it may be like some cars where the power to the USB is enough to operate a phone or GPS but they are intentionally not providing enough power to CHARGE a phone. I hope this is not the...

After suggestions on Essential Tools to carry?

I probably carry more tools that I need. But after hearing of problems with the parking brake release, I recently added a spring hook. That way if I ever need to manually unhook the spring I'm hoping this could make it easier. But hoping I won't need it. Those of you who have had to unhook the...

F3L side bag/glove box not shutting/staying closed - any fix ideas?

My glove box didn't want to close at first. The dealer made a little adjustment, now it closed. But I have to push straight down fairly hard on the front where the latch is to get the latch to close and lock it down.
