• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Engineering Idiocy

I'm pushing 80 and can afford to pay the dealer. I do everything on all our vehicles to keep active so old age doesn't set in faster. I'm currently installing a larger fuel tank in my Chevy 1500 3.0 Diesel. Crawling around under the truck doesn't seem like fun, but I still enjoy it.

I am thinking of buying a 6x10’ Cargo trailer to haul my F3s Spyder south this winter

I've towed a two axle trailer and my last one was a 5 X 11' single axle that I've hauled my Honda 1800 across country several times. The trailer with bike weighed @ 2400 lbs and I put 250 lbs on the truck's hitch and it never bucked or bounce excessively and that was going across I-40.

I am thinking of buying a 6x10’ Cargo trailer to haul my F3s Spyder south this winter

This is one trailer I've been looking at or the dual axle one. 69" opening. I'll drive to get one next month and make a few stops along the way. Out here in the west, the prices run $5500 used.. dual axles $6500. I'll be selling a Aluma 7712 with brakes installed...

Australia - RT's - Has anyone used Xenon Bulbs in RT Low Beam

About 20 years ago I had a Kawasaki Concours that I installed HID lights on crash bars I made, with those lights I could see jack rabbits 1/4 mile up the road getting ready to commit suicide. One trip across country I switched off the high beams to pass a truck and then turned them on and after...

Show Chrome Trunk Rack After Thoughts.

I put a show chrome rack on my Honda 1800, One of the Goldwing accessories site had bigger washers to put in under the rack to keep the lid from cracking. You might consider looking or install larger washers with rubber washers underneath. If can find it in my old files I'll post where they are...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I replaced the stock Kenda front tires with Kumho 175/55R15 tires. The Stock Kenda tires are junk. They were both out of round. It cost me $2000 to do it though. At 80 years old, I find that it is a little hard to lever on the tires and I still like changing and balancing tires on all my...

Do you need to remove the lid to replace top case strut? 2020 RTL

Just looked at mine. It is easy to replace. Take the two torque screws out of the back of the opened top case and pull the rear seat out then the rear back rest lifts off.

IDK, Recommended for Diesel trucks and they usually have gears to drive the valve train and as far as I read in the past, shearing doesn't seem to be a problem.

To Install shed insulation or not? Storing 2022 RTL

I'd insulate it and I'll tell you why. I live in the hot south west and I insulated an enclosed trailer that I stored my Honda 1800 in when I used my garage for other things. With the vents open, it never got hotter than the outside air. If I closed the vents, it got hotter then heck in there...

Looking at buying Garmin Zumo 660, 590, or XT

Gees, all these high priced GPS.. I have a Drive smart 71 that has a 7" screen that can be seen! If I could find a 8" cheap GPS I'd use it. I paid $99 and after 5000 miles, it still works fine and can be seen by these old eyes even in bright sunlight. I put a zip lock bag over it when it rains...

    Anyone experimented with Windshield extensions?

I installed the Laminar Lip on my LTR and also some side deflectors on a show chrome windshield that really reduced the turbulence. I can look over and not have my head shaken off. The side deflectors need to be 4 inches longer and 1 inch wider.
