• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2016 F3 Handlebar Bolt Question for Mounting "Perfect Squeeze" iPhone Holder

The hex key you need is 7mm. From memory, I think the bolt size is M10X40mm, just take the bolt out and measure it. The torque is 28Nm or 21ft-lb You don't need to use Locktite, but you should clean the bolt and the hole of the old Locktite with a tap and die so you can apply the correct torque...

    windshield

I use a Madstad and I don't have a problem with it. There are some advantages with that screen. You can adjust the angle and height on the road without tools. The mounting bracket is very solid so I can attach the GPS on it so it is directly in front of me just above the instruments.

Welcome our new SpyderLovers sponsor- Providence Spyder

Welcome! I'm enjoying the map T-shirt I ordered from you a few weeks ago ( such fast order processing, and you were at a rally at the time too, I think!). I may run up to MA this weekend just so I can color in another state...

How many Spyders have you owned.....

I'm on #2. My gray 2013 ST-S was totaled by a left-turning SUV a couple months ago and I just bought a black 2015 RT Ltd. I love the bigger engine and the generally more refined feel, but I'm definitely gonna have to invest in day-glo gear and maybe extra lighting.

    The End Is Getting Closer...

No More Snow Still in the 90s here in Tucson during the day and 60s at night. We suffer for 3-4 months during the summer for riding season all year long. ;)

    Silencer too loud

Yes, the larger shiny thing is still underneath, there is no bypass pipe.

    Silencer too loud

Everything is standard Can-am parts. It was installed by the dealer when I bought it new. As I said before I want it to be quieter so the dog is comfortable. I got the stock silencer here so when I swap it I can compare. If the sound level is the same I can always change it back.

    Silencer too loud

It was installed by the dealer so it should be ok. The cat is still there so it is only a straight swap with the stock one. I am not worrying about what sound it makes as long as it is quieter.

    Silencer too loud

Thanks for the info Colin. I will definitely change it, don't want the dog to get hearing damage when she come with me.;)

    Silencer too loud

Thinking of changing the Akrapovic Straight Shot Silencer back to the stock one on my F3S because it is too loud. Has anyone have experience with the sound level between the two silencers, is the stock one quieter?

    F3 backrest questions

My dealer installed a Can-am detachable passenger backrest but did not supply the instruction sheet. Does anybody know: 1, How to use the anti-theft feature? 2, What are the two straps on the bottom rail for? Thanks.

    Move my GPS

I bought a post to screw into one of the four handlebar mounting bolt holes on my 2014 ST. Unfortuneately the ball does not fit the rear of my Garvin (1" too large). After considerable time trying for a plan 'B', I mounted the OEM suction mount on the far left of the instrument glass. It...

Accessible Spyder RS SE5 for Sale

I'm selling my low mileage 2010 Spyder which is well-equipped for disabled riders like me. I've spent a ton of time and money to make it work for me despite a spinal cord injury that took the use of my legs. I see there are a number of people on this site who have made similar mods and know how...

Airbag Vest Saves Can Am Rider In T-Bone Accident

Actually that sounds quite a bit like the accident I had at the end of July. I was fine too, thanks to luck and a cheapo non-CE Joe Rocket back protector that I'd shoved into the back of my Craigslist River Road mesh jacket. I don't know what conclusion to draw really, except it's always best...

    Trouble free spyders

Spyder a life saver I've ridden motorcycles since 1968. Usually while running a car as well. Health issues overtook me and I sold the smallest 'bike I'd had for 30 years - a Honda CB 500. Bought a Porsche Boxster S for my 'grin factor' vehicle, but much as I like the idea of the Boxster, it...

hi all looking for get togethers for fun and riding

not any more, I was supposed to leave this morning and the bike doesn't go to the shop until next week. I expect a long delay after that while they explain to the at fault party's insurance adjuster everything he missed, like the damaged frame. Wish I could've gone, but not feeling great anyway...
