• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Hit debris on the freeway.

I agree. I really didn't have time to react much, it was definitely the bike that saved me, more than I saved the bike.

    Hit debris on the freeway.

No, they were the original OEM Kendra K9's as it is relatively new. I admit they don't seem to be very strong, especially in the sidewall. I don't have any qualms about their on road performance, unlike some folks experience, but I can see why they damage so easily. I think car tires would...

    Hit debris on the freeway.

Yes, it's at the dealer for a thorough checkup. They still have to fix the C210A suspension code anyways. Thanks

    Hit debris on the freeway.

North bound on I-15 in Sandy Utah, travelling in the HOV lane, some car fender parts came over the center divide and landed right under my front left tire. I was doing about 70 mph and the whole thing shattered into pieces and made hole in the tire big enough to get a couple of fingers through...

    Suspension Fault

Got it back today. They changed the sensor and checked for leaks. They test road it a lot. High speed, freeway, bumpy roads everything. It all looked good. Got on the freeway, going home, 5 miles, it threw code C210A yet again. Now what? Back it goes again I suppose. Perhaps it only happens...

    Suspension Fault

Well I fitted the new left hand lower deflector panel myself, was fairly easy. It's back in the shop for them to work on the C210A code. It threw it again today after 5 miles on the freeway. I rode it up to Brighton ski resort last Sunday, two up, and it never threw the code then. Seems to only...

    Suspension Fault

So on the way back to the dealer, it throws another suspension fault instead of C210A. This time it throws C21E1 instead. The tech went through the obvious things and of course, he goes out for a least an hour pounding up and down the freeway. Nothing. So he orders me the broken parts for the...

How do you find good clean hotel rooms at a fair price?

Well thanks for the info. I hadn't realized Bonvoy even had a data breach. I used their hotels for the entire summer, it would have been nice of them to tell me as a frequent customer. I must be lucky, I know a lot of them are individually owned but they seemed to have a corporate quality...

    Suspension Fault

OK, so now I'm mad. So, not only is it still throwing codes, I looked over the bike today. The left hand side lower side panel that goes under the left hand foot board is completely broken off at the level of the foot board itself. It looks like if fell off the lift or something as it is...

    Suspension Fault

Yes, they installed the bolt now. But the code is back, just takes longer to occur. No fee charged. But I have the feeling of here we go again. Probably calibration or the pump. We shall see.

How do you find good clean hotel rooms at a fair price?

I have a Marriott membership card. Using the Marriott / Bonjour app or website, I can usually find a Marriott group hotel in the price range I'm looking for. Often, the difference between their sub brands is whether breakfast is included or extra, what type of room you need and so forth. I...

    Suspension Fault

Well it seems the bolt was missing from the suspension self leveling linkage. Rode it home, 20 miles perfect. Rode it later in the days on a 20 mile trip. Perfect. Rode i 20 miles home, but after 10 miles or so, one up, on the freeway, it threw code C210A (suspension fault again). Oh bummer...

Is a Motorcycle License Needed to drive a Spyder?

Same here in Utah. 2 wheeler endorsement covers 2 and 3 wheels, 3 wheel endorsement covers just 3 wheels. Both are endorsements to a car license. Not all 3 wheeler vehicles require such a 3 wheel endorsement though. Vanderhalls and other car like vehicles seem to only need a car license. Where...

    Newbie Question about handling

I have 47 years experience on 2 wheels. My 30 mile ride home with my new 21 RT Limited was terrifying. The handling was horrible. I wanted to go back and swap my trade and start over. After a few rides I was getting better but it was still terrible. So I signed up for the $99 MSF rider...

    Suspension Fault

Well my brand new 2021 RT Limited throws code C210A about every 5 to 10 miles on the freeway, one up or two up. Oh joy. Suspension seems to work fine but I guess it just cannot find the correct ride height for the load or perhaps there is a leak somewhere. I took the safety class on it and it...

Hey Ya'll We Got A New Member! Lets welcome mecsw500 to SL

Just bought my first Spyder, a new 2021 RT Limited. Been riding for 45 years on 2 wheels. Oh boy, three wheels are so way different to ride. I live in Utah. I did the Can Am offered training class through our local Community College. This was great value for money at $99. It really help me...
