• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any advice on side luggage compartments that won't open?

There is a service bulletin for this on some years. Look on NTHSA.gov website. It replaces regular cables with stainless cored ones.

Any thoughts/ideas on excessive Tire wear on 2020 RT?

I'm sure proper alignment can be accomplished by someone technically capable of using their measuring equipment correctly, regardless of the type of system available. In my youth I watched major Formula 1 teams doing critical 4 wheel alignment with home made frames, tape measures and string...

CDN$297 for a six pack of what, barrels? That's quite some markup.

New 2020 RT Limited Owner - Some Newby Shop Questions

Shifting into first from cold, perhaps the first service was not done and your oil level is a little low? Note there is a correct sequence to checking the oil level, or let the dealer do the service. It's always good to have a service baseline. The brake must be firmly pressed to engage gear...

    Video of 2024 touchscreen

I'd vote for most of those things too, especially the tank filling. The whole process with that drives me nuts. Like for you, not enough there to persuade me to go and trade it in.

2022 RTL rear air suspension leaking air - is this common? Any fix/ideas?

This is like a recurring nightmare I had when I picked up my new 2021 RT LTD. It threw C210A codes from new... 1. The rod that connects the swing arm to the ride height sensor was never connected at the PDI. I suggest you look to see if yours is connected. This is often the prime cause...

Dealer set 2022 RTL tire pressures waay high - what do you use?

They quit doing inspections or emissions for bikes or trikes in Utah. Just pay up for a sticker. In some ways that's way more convenient, but in others it scares the living daylights out of me.

What bike did you ride to get your motorcycle license ??

First time, back in England, a Honda CB250RS single. Mostly riding round the block a few times then answering 3 silly questions. When I came to take my car test a few years later (I lived inLondon and didn't need a car) that was a much more extensive (and expensive) affair. 4 months of...

Did a little experimenting with MPGs

Altitude makes a difference. Here at 5,000 feet that's down to about 100 bhp, so I tend to give it a bit more throttle on acceleration which drinks gas faster than at lower elevations. One up or two up makes quite a difference, as does tire types and pressures. I find as well as up to about 55...

Imagine you are on your Spyder when this happens

I got hit on my Spyder when a crash on the opposite side of I-15 threw the debris of the front of a car over the high cement divider while I was in the outside commuter lane. It smashed up the underside of the trike and tore a tire to shreds. Fortunately the nanny kept the whole plot stable so I...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Probably a firmware update. After my last service mine felt much better too. I live at 5,000 feet so every little bit of a change regarding pep is really noticed.

Is BRP going to fix/allow Day/Night LCD dash screen on '20 RT's?

Be very careful what you wish for. I have a 21 RT LTD. After firmware update 50.21 I can finally manually change the modes between the day mode and the night mode and increase the brightness and have the values stick. However, in auto mode, it randomly chooses which mode it wants to be in...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I gave my Spyder a darned good talking to. I had the firmware upgraded to 50.21, amongst a service and other things. It's a 21 RT LTD. I was told by BRP that the firmware would cure the display from randomly flipping between day and night mode during the day. Guess what, it doesn't. It's...

    My '2024 Model Reveal' Review

We use our rider to passenger Sena intercom. Other than that, I've kind of given up on BRP Go even though I did eventually get it to work OK after the latest firmware upgrades. I don't use the radio, speakers or any of those things. On the rare occasions I don't know where I'm going, Apple Maps...

A question - what's the best way to lubricate all the cables?

From my understanding the NHTSA listed technical service bulletins (TSB) were indications of failures the manufacturer had identified due to complaints from owners that don't materially effect vehicle safety, otherwise it would be a recall. Manufacturers are only obliged to fix the technical...

A question - what's the best way to lubricate all the cables?

Note, there are several technical bulletins relating to problems with cables to the rear luggage with water intrusion and problems with being able to open them. There are two versions of the technical bulletin, the later one is a revised copy. An example is: SPYDER RT 2020-21 Saddle Bags Hard...

Worried about RT suspension upgrade - anyone used GEARS Suspension?

Gears Racing Suspension The company has been around a long time, since 1997 and they do get used in Asia in motorcycle racing as well as by custom bike builders. Whether this follows over into the Can Am world I don't know. Their catalog is quite comprehensive and they seem from their...

Just need confirmation before I use my tools ! Air compressor bypass.

Your local Biltema store might know what speed bleeders you might need. They also stock vacuum bleeding systems. My Norwegian isn't up to much, well it isn't up to anything, but from what I can tell from their website they stock all kinds of things that might work for bleeding brakes. They...

Anyone heard any Rumors on 2024 Spyders, All models?

I wonder how Covid affected those plans? Also, I really wonder about electric motive systems for jet skis. Water and electricity have traditionally not played well together. Should be interesting to see how they solve all the issues of range, weight and charging across the model range. 2026 is...

Might just try a snow tire ...

Now I notice the Goodyear Eagles Ultra Grips come in quite a few types, some snow, some all weather and some mostly performance versions. I know my wife’s Mustang GT is a bit of a pig on pure snows in really hot weather, it understeers badly and has trouble putting the power down. It’s like the...
