• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Choosing between Spyder or Tri-Glide? Drawbacks for either?

Well said. Technically, the Spyder is a much better vehicle. The two wheels up front configuration is more stable around turns. It allows for power steering. The reverse gear is a true engine driven gear, not running the electric starter in reverse. Also, the Spyder is easier to ride...

Upgrade LED Turn Signal Bulbs won't illuminate - any ideas?

I also think the problem is polarity. For some reason, BRP often gets the polarity wrong on bulb fixtures, after all, it's less relevant for the incandescent bulbs. I remember when I switched to LEDs on my 2014, the right side worked fine and the left side needed to reverse the polarity. And my...

New Battery Install '22 RTL - where does the little Black wire go?

I also agree that this sounds like a Tender pigtail. I would imagine that the OP would know if he has a pigtail installed. Nevertheless, in my humble experience, the Tender pigtails have two wires associated with them. The black wire is connected to the negative terminal of the battery and a...

    Rides like a snowmobile

All of my following comments are dependent on your riding style, whether or not you are aggressive around turns. Yes, the 2010 through 2013 RTs rolled like pigs. In my opinion, the RonBar gives you the biggest improvement per dollar spent. A massive and quite essential improvement. Those...

Another battery thread....need specific part # and lithium battery suggested

You did well. I found one on EBAY for $161.00 Nevertheless, I bought mine from Lamonster: https://www.lamonstergarage.com/12v-600a-lithium-powersport-battery-nlp20-600cca/ His sale price was only a few dollars more than the EBAY find and I think it's most important to support first adopters...

Seat Strut won't hold up seat - any non-OEM replacements?

My original seat strut for my 2020RT limited worked marginally, until I added a gel pack to the seat at which point the seat strut failed to function. I had a similar issue with the trunk strut. The trunk strut worked well until I added a luggage rack. I added a helper spring to the trunk rack...

What experiences have you had with Lithium Batteries?

OK. I'm taking the plunge. I have a 2020 RT Limited. The original YUASA battery failed and left me stranded after I owned the bike for 18 months. I installed a non OEM Super Start that I've had for another 18 months. I don't trust it. They don't make them like they used to. I bought the...

Changing the seat strut - Are the Show Chrome instructions easier than they seem?

I got it done, but it IS very fiddly. Very fiddly indeed.

Changing the seat strut - Are the Show Chrome instructions easier than they seem?

The seat on my 2020 RTL won't stay open when fueling the bike ever since I added a gel pad to the seat. I've tried the helper spring, wedging something under the seat etc., etc. I don't want to rehash these or other alternatives. I also don't want to go through the warranty route that would...

Spyder owners are stuck up - why is this so?? Please explain...

I hope to God that this is the worst challenge you face in your life.

How about heated gear - what's your favorite? Any other suggestions?

I have Cycle Gear Hotwired jackets. Two. One for me and the other for the Admiral. They have built in controllers so you don't have the expense of separate units. The new ones can also be controlled by your cellphone. Mine are the previous generation and don't have this feature...

Tri-Axis handlebar install? How hard is it?

Finless Bob does several videos. He's a very talented individual. In my humble opinion, he has EXTRORDINARY skills. Much of his work may be beyond the ability of the typical DIY handyman.

Can't remember how to replace the brake reservoir pin - Help?! '22 RT

I lost mine the first time I changed my oil. I've never replaced it. It's been about 10,000 miles and 4 states so far. Doesn't seem to be an issue, but open to anyone who can explain the need for that pin.

How do you secure your Helmets when leaving your bike?

I just got a set of Lidlox. I love them. Before that I'd stuff one helmet in the frunk and another in the right side saddlebag. I'm thinking of making some kind of cover for the helmets to use while hanging upside down in the Lidlox to keep crap from flying in. I still take off the Sena headsets...

Buying S2S - What luggage to maximize storage? Add a trunk top mount?

Peteoz is rightous about the soft side bags for the front and sidebags. For the trunk, I use the BRP top rack and the Nelson Rigg bag https://www.motosport.com/nelsonrigg-route-one-traveler-tour-trunk-rack-bag?variant=&variant[NRG002T]=NRG002T-X001-Y001

Any recommendations for adding blind spot sensors to an F3?

I know you were looking for some kind of electronic sensor. I like the Saeng products, but they're just too darn much money for simple mirrors. I just use stick on blind spot mirrors. The 2020 RT Limited has mirrors similar to the F3...

B.E.S.T. Warranty NOT warrantying the stupid side bag door handles that break anymore

I'm sure that's what they said to you, but I'm calling BS on that. I think the dealer was either mistaken or trying to pull something off. Most likely they were mistaken. They didn't charge you, so they seem to be an OK dealer.

    Spyder Sightings

On a jaunt Sunday, October 1, 2023, I stopped at Bulls Bridge CT to view the falls. In the second parking lot, I spotted a pre-2020 RT, looked chocolate brown sporting American and Canadian flags. It had CT plates.
