• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How much tupperware needs removal to Wire my GPS directly to the Battery?

Pete is ABSOLUTELY correct here. I echo Pete's recommendation to connect your GPS to a switched circuit, or you'll kill your battery.

Auto retract of windshield doesn't always work

You know, there is a way to disable the autoretract feature. If you hold one of the windshield buttons while turning off the Spyder, that disables the autoretract for one cycle. This enables you to maintain the windshield, either remove it, or simply clean it. Is your friend touching the...

Gas strut for trunk on the RT

For both designs of the Spyder RT, you remove the rear passenger back rest and gain access from there. The strut mounting is a little bit different for the pre and post 2020 models, but the spring idea will work for either. The photos I posted were for my 2020 RTL. I used 1 and 1/2 of the...

New to Spyder - Have a handling question

NO ! EMPHATICALLY. IT IS NOT NORMAL. A properly tuned Spyder rides like it's on RAILS at speeds up to 108 MPH. DAMHIKT. Something is WRONG. There are many possibilities. 1) Riding Technique. Some say your grip is too tight, and you may be overcompensating the steering. 2) Air Pressure in...

Extra fuel idea - what do you think?

I'm coming late to the party, so I'm assuming others have made these same comments. In fact, my suggestions are so dumb, I'd be disappointed if someone hasn't made them already. Brilliant idea. BRILLIANT. I have two suggestions to simplify the installation. 1) You could simply use a REDA...

Want to install GPS on 2020 RTL, which one to order? What's the difference?

Yes. If you're buying a new GPS, get the latest and the best. You'll find the technology is flattening out, so the latest version will last far longer.

Spyder pulling to left - Any ideas/suggestions?

Exactly. Your problem follows the tire, it's a problem with the tire. Replace the tires with a car tire. As always, my free advice comes with a double your money back guarantee.

Steering on Spyder RTL freezing unexpectedly - anyone know why? Fixes?

With all due respect, I believe the nanny will cut back the speed by adjusting the engine, but I don't think the nanny adjusts the power steering. At least that has been my experience whenever I've challenged the nanny. I suggest checking the battery terminals to see if they are tight. A...

No headlights on new 2022 Spyder RT - HELP?!

Precisely. And more important, what the hell kind of dealer do you have? Didn't they do a check of the Spyder before they released it to you? You may be unfamiliar with Spyders and all their functions I know you don't want to go to the dealer, but who knows what other systems don't work until...

2018 F3L windshield mounted mirrors - where to buy them.

I've been looking at these for years. I really like them. They are definitely the high priced spread. I've never gotten the courage to buy them, although, from what I understand, you can transfer them from one bike to another, so it's basically a one time investment. I'm wondering what happens...

I'll use my Ram mount as EZ pass holder - what do you use?

I can only tell you about my previous experience. I had my transponder in the frunk, mounted to the lid. There were a couple of bridges in the local area that didn't read the transponder, both in NY, the Newburg Beacon bridge and the Bear Mountain bridge. I think the difficulty in reading was...

Electric Windshield adjustment bar broke. Any suggestions?

I've heard that same story, but in my opinion, it's incorrect. I noticed on my 2010 Spyder that the whole support was loose. Whenever I went over a bump, the windshield would twist. This twist was, in turn, transmitted to the windshield arm. I broke two of them on my 2010 Spyder. Back in...
