• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

User map - any info on another map site?

Cirhere, do you have a popup or advertising blocker enabled? That could cause the User Map (at https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/locations.php ) to not display properly. It works on my system as intended. FYI there are two different maps available here on Spyderlovers: the SpyderLover...

    RT Oil Drain Plug issue

Bet they were afraid to "Give it a Whack" like Lamonster or Smoak has posted years ago. Insert the proper fitting Torx or Allen bit with a medium extension and give that tool a good whack, then attach the ratchet or breakerbar handle and it'll usually thread right out. Have done it many a time...

Realtor, I'm with Mikey, if you have a BRP rear wheel it's the same as any other stock rear wheel, though there are different colors Carbon Black Rear Rim 705502130 or Metallic Silver - Rear Rim 705502089

What do you use on Fading Plastic?

On black plastic, I use heat, like this guy demonstrates https://youtu.be/B-X3to9t8Qg Naysayers will flip, but no chemicals, no wipe on - fade off products, and I wonder how many of the "Don't do this" folks either weren't careful, or work for the chemical companies making all the other...

Where does this rubber piece belong? 2013 RT-L

Likely back of the headlight housings. They're easier to remove to find if it's from them, if both headlights have them, then you gotta find them on the back of the fog light housings...

Spyder RTS 2016 Missing belt guard installation problem

I rode my '13 RTL with the Missing Belt guard and the Air Ryde Rock Armour (no longer sold but alternative discussed here) on many miles of different MN gravel roads at normal speeds with no belt or airbag issues. Rode as fast as I felt safely comfortable into and out of the NorthWest Angle of...

Spyder RTS 2016 Missing belt guard installation problem

Yep, jacked up my spyder until I could get jack stands under, then laid on the muffler side and reached under with a flex socket extension to hold the original nuts from the back side, had my helper take out the original stock belt cover fasteners, my missing belt guard came with the replacement...

HELP What holds 2019 RT passenger backrest on?

My 2018 Passenger backrest has three "floating" nuts in the backrest that the torx screws mount AKA Nut Housing Ass'y to (as well as the two for the top trim piece) If someone isn't careful the "floating" nuts can be pushed out of the backrest mounts and then there'd be nothing for the torx...

Any idea where the horn is on a 2013 RT?

Tatonka, Did you take a picture you could show others. On My '13 RTL my horn was under Heat Mitigation scoop on the left side. Though it may have been moved there when I got the upgraded horn installed by TricLED at Spyderfest '17.

Anyone sell a 2-piece RT frunk liner?

Ah, that's likely due to the different shapes of those two storage areas. Hopnel and Big Bike Parts (versus BRP's factory accessories) are the most available and likely most used travel bags/organizers for RT's (at least here in the US). There is a factory wheelie hard case suitcase for the...

Just a thought regarding searching on the forum

Yea, we've only been asking that since before you got your Spyder.... Apparently communicating the full thought is a lost art. Many poster's assume we magically know what bike, model, and year they're asking about. But I'm sure you've been told, fill it up, drive it until you're coasting or...
