• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Unused OEM connectors - Anyone know what these connectors are used for?

Yep, as you wrote, that's 'a "free" power outlet', I think it's under the left tupperware, plugged into a holder/keeper to keep it dry and clean when not in use.

Help with adjusting belt tension & alignment please? Any step-by-step guides?

And you're not checking after backing correct, only riding it forward, coming to a stop, and checking, right? Mine walks almost anytime I back into my garage, but resets when driving forward.

Trying to decide if I want to start doing my own oil changes - what should I budget?

I change oil on my '13 RTL and '18 RTL buying the Oil filter kit from BajaRon (I get a LOT of other stuff from LamonsterGarage and like to split my support). BajaRon HiFlo 556 - SE6/SM6 Oil Filter Kit w/ Seals - Can-Am Spyder 1330 Rotax - $15.95 And have used Castrol purchased from Amazon -...

2016 F3T ACS (Suspension) won't hold air! Safe to ride? Fixes?

It is possible it is just the check valve in the compressor system. After the third failure on my '13 RTL I bypassed the original system and just ran a straight airline from the schrader valve to the top of the bag, never leaked down again. I suspect you could do the same, but definitely don't...

Need help/advice on Adjusting the headlight beam axis - where's the adjust screw?

Instructions with pictures are on page 113-115 of the English 2021 Operator's manual (Could be different from the Japanese language manual), here's the page 114 snip If you like, I can send you an extracted pdf of just those pages. ALSO, I just found this thread on SL titled "2020 RT...

TricLED Vent Lights - anyone have issues with them?

So I remember the past products I've bought from TricLED direct, and many of their packaging labels have multiple possible versions printed on the label, then they mark or highlight in yellow which of those light sets is in the bag. If you look at the OP's picture (and the linked Slingmods page)...

Anyone know how to add a strobe/flasher to RT Brake Lights?

The brake flashers shouldn't, but the St2 Decelerometer does if you don't add the diode per their instructions, I've installed both. You have to install a diode onto the signal wire, so power only flows TOWARDS the brake light (and not back to the computer).

Most amount of miles/KM you have ridden in one day on the Spyder

Multiple Ironbutt SS1000 miles in less than 24 hrs, Then when going for my first BB1500 (in <36hrs) I rode 1,344 4:36 AM to 4:36AM) with a fellow Spyder rider while attempting a Pines to Palms IBA ride. Overall we rode 1,800 miles in less than 36 hrs, but we were so toasted we slept for 12hrs in...

How can I remove image left behind by sticker on the black rear fender?

I've always had some industrial strength or RC Modeling heat guns that came with the disperser, it should work without, but again go slow and be ready to remove the heat. I imagine you'd have to use the highest setting and really hold it on there to actually melt the plastic, the heat just...

How much will it help to wrap the exhaust pipe going into cat/primary muffler?

I used the Titanium Header wrap on my '18 RTL when I replaced the cat with Baldwin Iron Work's Cat delete and wrapped all the way forward, so both the cat delete and "tuned Pipe" that's forward of the cat. Reduced heat at the ankles and lower legs, though I'm one of those crazy people that ride...

How can I remove image left behind by sticker on the black rear fender?

Or try a heat gun with a disperser tip, start too far away and very, very gradually get closer while sweeping (fanning) the heat over that part of the fender, be VERY cautious about getting too close or keeping the heat in one spot. When the plastic get's warm enough it will "Flash" and turn...

My solution to the Bajaron Ultra sway-bar 'clunk'!

As an owner of two Spyders (a '13 RTL and '18 RTL), both of which I installed BR's original anti-sway bar, and on the 2nd, I installed his Ultra Anti-sway bar; and I've installed two other Ultra bars on 2023 RTL's and have never had any clunk issues, but I have very carefully followed BR's...

I installed SpyderPop's upper exhaust blocker... but modified it some:

Hopefully, you've already read Rob's Mod's and Farkles thread here on Spyderlovers as well. Lot's of great suggestions for additional cooling, for any year model through 2019, I vented under the spyder as well, have have header heat tape wrapped the tuned pipe all the way back to the final...

Are there any safe & convenient ways to carry Reserve Fuel?

I too have and carry the Reda Can, inside their ultra heavy duty ziplock bag in my RT when doing my Iron Butt rides as a solo rider. I have only had to use it one time when on I-90 heading east from Wall Drug into the strongest headwinds I've ever rode in. and that was on a 998 twin. It was a...

Why do I need to re-log in after changing threads?

Sometimes, on computers, well meaning security folks or programs, clear cookies or set all cookies as temporary, (some VPN software etc) Which would generate the behavior you're reporting. (IF it's a computer viewing the site in a web browser).

Dealer says Car tires damage fenders - does this make sense???

A dealer told me ....Because they want to sell you 3 Kenda's for the price of one decent tire. This doesn't sound right unless someone mounted an incorrect sized tire. ..... Likely true, There are way more non-kenda tires that fit perfectly if you shop around. There are many threads here that...

Battery Dead, seat not opening - does it need power to open?

No, the seat release on an '11 is a cable from the ignition switch to the seat release. Sometimes it's a push down on the seat while turning the key (pushing the key into the switch, then turning) to the seat release side, then the seat will release and you can lift it. That cable may need...

Any problem transporting a Spyder RT (2015) on Flatbed without wheel chocks.

NoFlyzone, I use the front shock Eyebolts from TricLED that are powder coated black, then cross the front tie downs to prevent the front from shifting side to side (then I don't need the extra blocking). I then loop the tie-down ratchet strap around the rear rim to the rear trailer corner...
