• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Snapped the magnetic oil drain plug!

Jaybros, you're so right......the problem wasn't on the plug end! At least not in my case. Unfortunately, I had this happen to me when I did my 1st oil change. Couldn't believe I had actually screwed this up using a small torque wrench. All my years changing oils on my vehicles and never a...

Getting ready to bite the bullet!

Exactly!! Last year I had contacted the Missouri Riding Course for a friend asking the same question. It was stated "All" are welcome to attend and take the course, but as for us Illinoisans, it is not approved at Illinois DMVs. Would have been nice because it is relatively nearby for the...

Getting ready to bite the bullet!

Yep, unfortunately for us Illinoisans, currently there are only 3 Spyder Riding Training locations. Palestine, Lake Villa and Chicago Heights. All up North and the closest being Chicago Heights for my area, approx. 4 1/2 hours away. Not sure of your location bluesfanatic, but sure would be...

Getting ready to bite the bullet!

Welcome from Southern Illinois, and good luck with your purchase. You are going to love it. Just give yourself plenty of time, and heed Mikes ( BLUEKNIGHT911 ) given advice. You will do fine. You'll even surprise yourself once you get the hang of handling and maneuvering it. My situation was...

    Frustration - rant

Well, I can honestly say I learned "another" something new here. "DILLIGAS"! Even had to look that one up.......and I must say I can totally relate to that Acronym, even at my young age  of 63. It takes time, even years, to learn this concept, but frees the mind. Hmm, where do I get...

Trailer ID - is this an RT-622?

Brentc, thank you for the info. Love your combo as well. Looks SHARP together. As I mentioned, the previous owner had removed the hitch before I purchased it, but the 4 Square plug is already there. So that's a definite plus for me. Just wasn't sure of the different years for the trailer...

Trailer ID - is this an RT-622?

My curiosity has gotten the best of me..... now that I seen a few different types of trailer plugs being mentioned here. ( Square, Round, Flat ) Question is......... do all Spyders come standard with Trailer Plug, or are these aftermarket installs? I have one installed on my 2014 RT, it is...

    Going for a ride -

The long await is OVER! Since Monday we have had beautiful weather here in Southern Illinois, and I was getting that impatient itch to take it out of hibernation. My first year owning it, and having it in hibernation, I wasn't sure what to expect with it being on Battery Tender all winter...

    HowTo: Remote Garage Door Opener

:agree: Same here. I have 2 remotes. 1 for the Spyder, the other for the vehicle. Although, I have mine attached, with velcro, on my Spyder dash. Perfect, and easy access!

WTF? Can't find anyone to mount my new Quadtrac tires!

Same here. Had my front Federal Formozas installed & balanced last year with my local Walmart, and TODAY I had my rear tire replaced with the same Walmart. Granted, this appeared to be the first rear tire / rim combo like this they have done, but they did great! And, best of all only $10...

    Rear hub, what to remove?

Thanks Pete....... I'm all set with a breaker bar. My most popular go to tool, and sometimes many "grunts" :yikes: when working on my F250, a breaker bar is a MUST at times. :2thumbs:

Is the shortage of F3 Batteries industry wide?

Great idea, having a non-filled back up battery on hand. This is what I carry as well. Never know when you're going to need it. Plus, has multiple purposes / uses. https://www.aizico.com/products/2v-16800mah-mini-portable-car-jump-starter-power-booster-battery-charger

2020 - 22 RT Owners.. What do you think?

Love the creativity here. Definitely like both, the Spyder "Word" and the "Spyder Web" designs. Could be a tad bolder as well for more frontal coverage. As for the others, nice designs themselves minus the dog bone look. They just seem to be a bit undersized, replicating a small "out of place...
