• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    How reliable are spyders?

Define Reliable. I think in a forum format you get a great deal of people who voice frustrations and complaints on their machines. It's really subjective. A lot of folks love the older gen engines. A lot prefer the newer 1330 engines. I've seen a few posts with folks closing in on 100K miles. As...

20+ RT OEM Floorboard Lights or TricLED's version - which do you like?

Thanks all! I wish the OEM had the turn signal built in. I haven't seen any of them live, but that pic of yours looks great, taxmyzer. Thanks for the install video Kroache! Joel, Cihere, I think you may have made the scale tip towards. I should have posted this prior to the Black Friday sale...

20+ RT OEM Floorboard Lights or TricLED's version - which do you like?

I'm really starting to like the idea of adding the floorboard lights to my '20 RT. TricLED's version with the matching amber turn signal indicator make the most of the lights to me. The fit of the OEM version just seems "cleaner" to me though. Has anyone swapped from one to the other? If, so...

I saw this model trike toy on Amazon - similar to an F3

Pretty cool. Would be better if I didn't have to pretend to be BRP LOL

2020 Spyder Rt Passenger Heated Seat stops working after 5 mins?! Ideas?

No idea. Mine never seemed to work. I don't recall ever seeing RPM drop below 850 at idle either. I've read through the thread and some mentioned that the heat works and stops after a few minutes, but never starts up again. I believe the riders seat does something similar. Meaning that it warms...

2020 Spyder Rt Passenger Heated Seat stops working after 5 mins?! Ideas?

Huh? I took mine to the dealer. I don't think most folks are trying to spend more $, but if the dealer is unable to determine the problem, I believe most of us are asking for suggestions from others who may have experienced the same issue. Therefore, possibly identifying a fix that is easily DIY...

Fitted Heated Comfort Seat '22 RT Ltd - now no heated pass. hand grips! Why?

Are the heated passenger grips a different set of grips than what comes with the RT base or does it just have some type of component that needs to be connected? I'm asking b/c I can't find it as an accessory on the CanAm site. I'm thinking of maybe adding it to my RT if it's a reasonably priced mod.

2020 Spyder Rt Passenger Heated Seat stops working after 5 mins?! Ideas?

I'm finally revisiting and updating this. I took Gwen back to the shop this past spring to have them look at it. (remember my long gripe from previous comment). They were just as bad this time around as they were last time. Except they offered to have me leave it with them for a few weeks to...

I have a problem with Dishonest Dealers!

Could be multiple things. Based on some of the things you mentioned a few things come to mind. I could be wrong, but with all of the years of experience and military backgroung(thanks for your sevice), I'd guess you're no younger than 40, but likely somewhat older. While it isn't cool, ageism...

Is there any real data regarding the safety of the Spyder vs traditional motorcycles

LOL Yeah I saw this 1 a while back. Can't blame Can Am for that. I mean, he can, but I don't think they'd settle :roflblack: I'd hope that no jury would find them liable for this person's attempt at being "cool" or going viral. I still haven't found any stats regarding the Spyders/Rykers...

2020 Top Box Will Not Remain Open - any solutions?

So, shouldn't that be covered under your warranty(if you still have it)? Might just be easier to have the struts replaced.

Is there any real data regarding the safety of the Spyder vs traditional motorcycles

I mean, people are allowed to do ill advised things. If the videos aren't graphic, please share. I don't mind laughing at epic fails.

Is there any real data regarding the safety of the Spyder vs traditional motorcycles

Perhaps you're right. I don't don't know what lawsuits they'd be looking at by quoting stats though. VW, Honda, Subaru, + more mention their safety ratings.

Is there any real data regarding the safety of the Spyder vs traditional motorcycles

I haven't seen the data points, but I'm sure some math person has the data. If it is substantially greater, I'm sure BRP would post it as a selling point. If it is marginal or null, probably not. The tipping over thing due to operator error at slow speeds while turning isn't a concern based on...
