• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What does it feel like when the Nanny takes over?

The Nanny will reduce/cut the engine power when it feels slippage. It can also apply brakes if I'm not mistaken. I used to get the Nanny to do that frequently but never felt steering intervention. The sway bar, shocks, & car tires virtually eliminated the Nanny's annoyance. FWIW, I don't think...

Finally, doing Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway in May!

I've ridden the BRP, Cherahola, TOD, Skyline, etc. several times. Personally, the TOD is a 'Merit Badge' road just to say you did it, but is the most technical of the list. Once is enough, but the other roads are keepers. Also consider the Rattler (West of the BRP) which is often overlooked when...

Are you happy with your aftermarket CAR tires?

What a crock! What I do agree with is: The changes in handling are FAR IMPROVED over the OEM rubber bands when running car tires.

    Is it Zumo time???

All the above are true. A couple more advantage of a Zumo over the phone is Zumo is waterproof. Phones overheat in the sun and can be shaken to death. Save your phone for PHONE CALLS and let the Zumo be your workhorse on the road.

What makes a Spyder's smoother ride vs. Ryker?

I haven't ridden a Ryker but there are many pluses for the Spyder based on specs alone. 1. Spyder is twice the price of a Riker. That should be a hint that the Spyder has upgraded features. 2. Power steering 3. Suspension 4. Cruise Control 5. Heated Grips 6. Fairing coverage 7. Radio/BT 8...

4 PSI question for our experts

Outside temperature is not relevant when talking about 'checking when cold'. Tires warm up as they are ridden so 'Cold checking' means the PSI before the tires are run and brought up to operating temperature after several miles.

Anyone else dealing with this sort of Gas Mileage?

If you want to defeat the 'condom' used on many pumps look into one of these. https://mccuff.com/ I use the Sport model.

Does anyone use their Spyder 12v Dock for plugging in heated gear?

Best setup is a direct to battery, fused wire with SAE connector and coax adapter. Can also be used to trickle charge. A more elegant solution is to use a relay controlled by the GPS (key-on) lead behind the right side panel but that prevents using the same wire for trickle charging.

    What AirHawk model/size for 2020 RTL ?

You can also look for the Wildass branded cushion of the same size as the Cruiser-R. Just as reliable as the Airhawk I had before the valve stem base couldn't be patched. I've had the Wildass for about 5 years now.

Issues with Kenda Tires or Not?

I push my machines harder than most and the same is true for my RT. The 1st 1000 miles on the kendas regularly woke up the nanny in the twisties. Based on this forum's expert advice, I switched to quatrac5 all around. Not surprisingly, the nanny became much more docile and let me 'ride my own...

I made a Pedal Commander Waterproof case!

I guess I'm the outlier here because my PC is mounted on the dash and has never had a problem even in very heavy downpours.

Anyone done an ECU Flash with DynoJet Power Vision 3 on a 2023 F3?

Pretty sure they have a 2020 F3 file which should be close, if not the same as the 2020+ 1330. https://www.dynojet.com/parts/can-am/spyder-f3-t-se6/2020

Do we owe Kenda an apology?

What's the point of this discussion?:banghead: We choose the products we like for whatever reasons. If Kendas light your fire, enjoy. But why try to convince the rest of us to agree with whatever 'logic' you dream up. Personally, I switched out the Kendas very soon after finding...

Suggest any battery warming gloves thin enough to wear under thick gloves?

If each glove has it's own self-contained battery carried on the wrist, there is no need for a harness (wires up each arm that would run back to a single power pack usually in a pocket.)

Suggest any battery warming gloves thin enough to wear under thick gloves?

You may be better off going for heated gloves rather than liners. The liners add bulk and make bending your fingers around the grips stiff compared to wearing heated gloves.

Where should I stick WA State's 'Good To Go!' pass?

Can't speak for WA but NJ EZPass works well stuck to the underside of the Frunk lid. If WA is like NJ, your license plate is keyed to your pass so even if the sensor doesn't read the pass, they will charge it to the acct tied to your plate .

2018 RTL - looking for battery upgrade and replacement suggestions?

If you put a voltmeter in, be sure to connect to 'key-on' circuit or a switch, not directly to battery or you will slowly drain the battery.

    Riding Gear Poll

I push my RT pretty hard and I'm no spring chicken. I always wear ATGATT because a get-off hurts (and every few years the insurance co buys me new gear!).
