• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Left hand lower side panel “loose” - is this normal?

Any danger of losing it, or can I wait until I have to service the pre-filter at the end of the season?

Left hand lower side panel “loose” - is this normal?

Mine acts exactly the same as yours does. I had my left lower side panel off many miles ago to service my canister prefilter and may have not got it totally back correctly.

1330cc Could this burble be an Exhaust Gasket? Which part for a 1330 Motor?

I run a cat delete pipe with no baffle and stock muffler. Mine seems to have developed more popping on deceleration and will check for an exhaust leak but I doubt it. I kinda like it as it gives the bike some character.

Help me decide: 2019 RTL - RLS Cat Delete or RLS Crusher?

I did the Balwin iron works delete pipe and stock muffler. It comes with a full baffle and another one also. I opted to install without any baffle and was surprised that it was not much louder at cruising speed but it sounds amazing under full load. Nothing scientific but seems to accelerate...

Does Cruise Control shut off on rolling off throttle - 2017 Ltd??

Mine works just fine the way it was designed. Use it every time I ride, and mine has never been turned off for the last 40,000 miles. Maybe I should shut it off to exercise the on/off switch.

Analog tach and digital tach were not jiving - any thoughts?

The digital reading was what I expected to see from past experience. I normally use the analog during acceleration to find my shift points. May have to start using the digital.

Starter switch not working all the time - battery maybe? Ideas?

Do you shift to neutral before you shut it down. One less thing the bike needs to perform before it will let it start. Hard habit to get used to but I am almost there.

Analog tach and digital tach were not jiving - any thoughts?

I noticed the other day when I was running down the Interstate that the analog tach was reading 4K and the digital display on the screen was reading 3400. When I accelerated both increased but the 600 difference was still there. After stopping for gas they both started reading the same. This...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Removed the side wind deflectors under the mirrors and installed the 3 position wind deflectors. Need a good hot day to check out their effectiveness. Quick and easy install.

    Who Uses Shell Rotella T-6

Do we have anybody here who has had their Shell oil analyzed and is willing to share their findings with us? With an oil analysis of the XPS blended stuff proved to me that I never want to use this again. Virtually the viscosity was gone!

Just finished installing my new Spyderpops KOTT Grille.

When I changed my coolant on my 2016 RTL I removed the frunk and was shocked how badly the radiators looked with bugs wedged in the fins. I spent over an hour on each radiator flushing and carefully digging the buggers out. I took the frunk apart and was able to cut super fine stainless steel...

Replacing Camshaft Sensor - is there enough clearance for allen key type torx?

When my CPS failed I got the dreaded Limp Home message. in checking for codes it was the same P0340. In checking with Can-Am Partshouse it stated that the part number was changed to a new part number. I called the dealer and after they read back the part number and it was the new number I had...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

A couple of weeks ago, I replaced the headlights with Sealight S2-9005 LEDs. Truly plug and play and a direct fit. I got tired of the yearly replacing of the Ultra Bright Halogens and only $30 more for the pair. Now when on bright, the reflection off the Interstate signs is very impressive. See...

    Oil analysis @ 3 years & 9500 miles.

The sample was taken after a 30 mile ride after a 15 minute off period while I jacked up the bike and removed the underbody splashpans. The lab uses 5 levels from 0-4 with 0 being normal and 4 being critical. Fuel dilution was 2.4% considered by them level 1. Iron was 173 or level 2. Oxidation...
