• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Am I alone? Why are there so few ride reports?!?

I have traveled a lot in the Maritimes and Quebec, Also, I know NH and Vermont quite well. Most of my trips are posted in the Maine Forum. The Rides sub-forum was not available at the time of most of those trips. Bruce

HowTo: RT seat and trunk shock strut replacement

Arion, glad you were successful. I added a spring to my seat shock and I did replace the trunk lid shock. Both work like they should, now. You would think BRP would install stronger struts than they do. Since they have not done so since 2010 they probably wont. Bruce

There seems to be an abundance of 2019 RT's selling - what gives?

All RTS and Limited models from 2010 to current had self leveling systems. In 2018 BRP removed button to stiffen or soften the ride. Bruce

After input on Handlebar risers... Anyone?

I added Lamonsters 2" riser to my 2021. This made all difference in the world for me. Coming from a 2011 RTS, the seat on the 2021 has 2" more butt room than my 2011.

Learned how to keep windshield up after shutdown.

I know this has been discussed before but I had to verify. If you like to have your windshield stay up at your desired height when you shut off bike, all you do is turn key to off and then hold the up button for the windshield for a couple of seconds. Windshield will stay up. This is for 2020...

First time installing battery in a 1330 - couldn't get top bracket right!

Brought the battery out of storage and charged it up today. Installed the battery and I had a heck of a time getting the metal bracket positioned correctly on top of the battery. Finally found my problem. I had connected the battery cables before trying to install the bracket. Had to remove...

What makes a Spyder's smoother ride vs. Ryker?

I believe the Spyders have a longer wheel base. Aslo the RTs' and F3T and F3 limited have air bags for rear suspension. Power assisted steering. Better seats. I"m sure they are a few more things. Bruce
