• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My First Spyder - F3S. But the brakes need a really hard push, is this normal?

I believe driving in wet weather will have some effect on the brakes. Congrats on the new Spyder.

F3-T third service at ~15k miles

9300 Miles or once a year whichever comes first. $350 is for oil change/filter. But I guess that is slowly catching up with everything else.

Your Weather News @ January Edition 2025 (Updated)

We got about six inches of snow. Temps today in the high 40's. it feels like 20 though. The snow has melted off of most of the pavement. We are headed for 25's by the weekend.

    Our fall guy trip

A very beautiful part of the country to drive. My favorite part of Utah. Ceder Breaks and Bryce are not quite as driven as the area around Zion. When we drove Bryce, the Smoky Bears were out in force enforcing the speed limits. I got talked to, but no ticket that time.

Planning a Pacific Coast Highway trip - looking for suggestions

The current fires have now changed the whole landscape of the PCH. It may be well into late summer before driving is back to "normal."

At what RPM do you shift on a 988 RSS for mileage

Also agree with BF. The 990 and 998's had a shift recommend of 5500 rpms. It has a top line of about 9800 rpms so you are doing the engine no harm. I never used 5th gear unless I was driving around 60 mph. Re gas tank mileage I most of the time got around 185 miles per the tank. I...

That is pretty evil. It even beats the boxes of sticks and rocks which were the first presents handed out one year.

Your Weather News @ January Edition 2025 (Updated)

I am not finding the "old" version of January. I guess someone beat me to it. We have had 40's during the day. However, it feels a whole like 20's to Linda and I.

Want help/advice on selecting engine size?

The 998's are not in current use by BRP. Most dealers will not even work on them because they are more than 10 years old and parts are an issue these days.

CyncySpyder was an interesting personality, but his dog always stole the show. Last appearance on the site was 10/23/20. Don't know where, why, what.

    Bad Honda Dealer

I am another one of those low mileage drivers. I bought a new 2025 Kicks three months ago, just turned a thousand miles on it. I will say you have been very patient with the dealer.

Anyone done a Cat Delete leaving stock muffler on?

Great to hear your getting a Canyon. So far, that is the only "new" one that has tweaked my interest. Unfortunately, for me, we gave up both Spyders in October of 2023 due to health reasons. I am looking forward to your review on that one. I am guessing you folks are going to like it a lot.

    The Morning Thread

The thread was an interesting idea. The OP was a neat person to talk with. Going back a few years, we had what was called the morning koffee klatch bunch. Many of us started the day talking about various things. Sometimes we even talked about Spyders. The OP has not been on the site...
