• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1330 and Gas Mileage Review - What's yours? Anyone else tracking theirs?

Blue, not bad riding briskly. My riding is two up 55/60, little over 36 mpg on my 20 RTL.

Any feedback on Kanines after 2 years?

I am one of those located where dealers will only install Kendas. From what I'm hearing about Kanines, they are a step above the OEM Kenda's, so they will have to do the job. Good words from Ron. No mountain roads in Florida, and I'm not an aggressive rider, I think it will all work out.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I suspect it will, mine has not deviated. Conservative, believe we are close, I tend to sniff the flowers..

What did you do to your Spyder today?

39 mpg, that's good, maybe the 2024 RTL is a bit more conservative on fuel consumption, I cannot seem to get better than 36. Of course most all of my riding is two up, but still at a conservative speed.

As many know on this forum, I'm 91 still riding two up with the Mrs, give it a go, I think you'll enjoy the ride. 2020 RT Ltd

Another Oil Thread (sorry!) - Has anyone tried using Mobil 1 10W40?

I'm in same camp, used Rotella T6 forever even when I had the GW, only comes in 5/40, would like a 10/40 but that's not possible. Thinking I may have to go with the high dollar Amsoil to get what I really want to run. Not the end of the world, I can do that. Healthy discussion, and I...

When you put your Spyder up on 3 ramps, do you lose the back one?

I place door mats under the front ramps to keep them from sliding. Can also raise the front slightly by placing a 1x4 under the ramp. Surprisingly, every little bit helps when underneath that thing. As a safety measure, I always do a walk around, maybe shake the machine a bit to ensure...

Another Oil Thread (sorry!) - Has anyone tried using Mobil 1 10W40?

Thanks Paul I'm thinking along those lines. I have a friend who has some Amsoil which he used in his Spyder. Sold the Spyder, bought a BMW GS, so he says I can have the Amsoil. I just need to get there and pick it up. Cheers!

Another Oil Thread (sorry!) - Has anyone tried using Mobil 1 10W40?

Thanks for the comment CloverHill, let us know how the Rotella T6, 15/40 goes. I have given that some that thought. Rotella T6 checks all the boxes, hope it's not too viscous for free flow.

Another Oil Thread (sorry!) - Has anyone tried using Mobil 1 10W40?

Thanks Peter, and all the others who have commented.. I have fully decided this oil would be a bad choice based on comments. I asked the question and got good answers, that's a good thing.

OK, I guess it isn't JASO MA2 rated. Answers the question Paul. If I don't find that on the label, we are done here, thanks bud.

Actually, I was referencing this oil, but I'm guessing it's not gonna get any recommendation here. Mobil-1-High-Mileage-Full-Synthetic-Motor-Oil-10W-40-5-Quart/17034354

Another Oil Thread (sorry!) - Has anyone tried using Mobil 1 10W40?

I cringe, but I need to. Anyone on the forum used the Mobil 1 10/40? Living in hot Florida, I'm thinking 10/40 is a bit better. Anyone that wants to post pop corn, be my guest, not offended. 2020 RTL
