• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Steinhatchee Florida day

My wife and I went to Steinhatchee about two years ago for our honeymoon. We went by truck then, but hope to return on our Spyder.

Any ideas on what this Noise on my 2022 RT-L might be?

There is an easy test you can perform if you like. When you park your spyder overnight, open the seat and measure the pressure on the Schrader valve near the back right side of the seat. Then measure it again in the morning. Loss of less than 5 PSI is negligible. Much more than that and you...

Any ideas on what this Noise on my 2022 RT-L might be?

If not radiator fans, the other noisemakers on our cycles are the compressor and the dump valve for the air suspension. Possibly the load on the cycle was different today than yesterday?

    BRP First Quarter 2024 Results

The good part of this is that they are not fixing to go out of business and leave us with orphaned vehicles.

Anyone else a loner and not a group rider?

I guess I'm a loner without being alone. My wife and I love to ride two-up. We both have licenses and training so we can split the driving. So far, we haven't joined any group rides.

I have spotted a 2020 RT LTD that might suit me - what do you think?

Indeed the Spyder RTL is the closest to a Gold Wing in the Can Am line. We are still working the teething pains out of our new-to-us 2020. First the infamous missing bolt in the ACS linkage and now an air leak at the check valve or elbow. Minor poop becomes major when it takes 2 hours to get...

What the heck is this thing? 2017 RT

But seriously folks, please don't wash a Spyder with a pressure washer. There are just so many mechanical and electrical parts in there waiting to accumulate a drop of water and cost their rider a lot of money.

Does the ACS really make a difference in ride?

Yes it makes a huge difference. When our system quit holding air, I felt every bump in the road and knocked my back out despite despite begging the driver to take it slow.

2020 RTL ACS Loses Air Overnight - is this normal?

My 2020 RTL loses all air from the bag overnight, but the compressor puts it back in the morning. Is this considered normal? UPDATE: With help from my wife and her stethoscope, we isolated the problem between the non-return valve and the elbow near it. Then we got rained out. More later...

Can Am - Great Ideas vs. Poor Execution. What are your thoughts?

In addition to what Peter Aawen already posted, plastic sway bar links? You have got to be kidding me.

What do you use for Cleaning and Protecting the matte bits?

I use Nu-Finish on the painted white bits and original Armor-All on everything else. Spray a little on a rag and wipe on.

RT seems better suited for seniors

My wife and I are comparative youngsters at 57 and 67 respectively. But we both love our RTL, and for two-up riding there is nothing like it.

Can Am - Great Ideas vs. Poor Execution. What are your thoughts?

I think that an ECU reflash will restore some of the missing pep. At the expense of always requiring premium fuel. Besides, my wife and I are a couple of real Heck's Angels who find 115 HP more than adequate.

Can Am - Great Ideas vs. Poor Execution. What are your thoughts?

Navydad, I agree in every respect. Because of my own background, I can see where the BRP engineers cut corners to hold down the price. And it was necessary because if they couldn't undersell Brand H they wouldn't sell at all. Despite having a superior product. None of this keeps me from...

Can Am - Great Ideas vs. Poor Execution. What are your thoughts?

Does anyone else think that Can Am has the smartest ideas in motorcycling? And then wrecks them with poor execution and poorer dealers?

HowTo: Disconnect Front Heated Grip Switch on 2020 Spyder RTL

You are welcome, Bruce. Although from your location the heated grips might be as vital to you as they are useless to me.

Anybody Know what this pin plug might be for?

This well could be. I could never understand the rationale behind having the GPS connector under the seat.

HowTo: Disconnect Front Heated Grip Switch on 2020 Spyder RTL

We live in Florida and my wife wisely concentrates on the traffic and not on the switches in the cockpit. Several times she has given herself "hot hands" by bumping the heated grip switch by mistake. This is easy to solve: Pull off the Tupperware at the upper left of the cycle; Reach in and...
