• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Will a pre-load after market rear shock replace the need for the air bag?

Just found out that EPM offers a first responder/military discount. Leaning towards the Wilbers, as Ikon USA doesn't sell and won't even service, the Ikon 3610-1084 rear shock required for the RT. We shall see...

Anyone else have or know what this Front end banging/clanking noise might be?

A couple members here (me included) had some clunking noise that emanated from the BR Ultra sway bar. I snugged up my arm set and bushings, and all is good.

Will a pre-load after market rear shock replace the need for the air bag?

According to Geoff at Ikon AU, the correct rear shock for my 2022 RT S2S is #3610-1084. At Ikon's website, the 3610 series shocks have threaded adjusters/hook spanner adjuster, and not the 3 step preload collar. I wonder why this shock is different than yours? Do you have the Ikon shock number...

Did my own 3000 mile oil change - not a big deal

Lot less inexpensive (and better) routes to go than BRP kit. Contact Baja Ron.

Will a pre-load after market rear shock replace the need for the air bag?

@RayBJ - Dang! I just had all my left side panels off this past week to install the Lamonster belt dampener. Never even thought to check access to the top shock bolt. Did you remove one side only, or both? Looks like it'd be a PIA to access the top shock bolt from underneath, even with a lift :(

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed Centramatic balancers on the front wheels, installed a BRP sport windshield, and trimmed down the rear mudflap.

Anyone remove the rear fender extension on 20+ Spyder?

Older thread, but WTH, I did a baby step. Lined up some painters tape to shorten flap about 1.25" and took a snipper to shorten. I like it.

Will a pre-load after market rear shock replace the need for the air bag?

I just heard back from Geoff at Ikon AU. He advised that they would sell/ship the 3610-1084 RT rear shock to the USA for $567/shipped. That is a nice price! I'm sure Ikon USA wouldn't cover any warranty issues, but they'd likely service them if need be. ** Nope .. Ikon USA won't even service...

    Shoutout to Martin the Vlogger

Just one thing to remember when ordering a Wilbers shock from Europe. Wilbers USA will not honor any warranty issues if any were to arise, including nitrogen leaks. Just some FYI.

Will a pre-load after market rear shock replace the need for the air bag?

I bought my Wilbers HPA shock thru Ted Porter a few years back. Great shock! Being a 100% solo rider, with load only varying a couple times a year for luggage, I'd go with the threaded adjuster only. I'd maybe fudge a few extra pounds on the build and call it good. If I was a two up rider, I'd...

Will a pre-load after market rear shock replace the need for the air bag?

Looking at a Wilber 640 rear shock from Ted Porter. Cost for the Stage 2 is $757 and the 640 with remote hydraulic preload is $1090. Being a 100% solo rider, I'd likely opt for the Stage 2 and have it valved/sprung for my weight/luggage. That said, my 2022 was bought as a left over and has (4)...

2022 OEM RT S2S seat versus redone Russell Day Long seat.

OK... After spending a couple of hours removing panels to install a Lamonster belt dampener and putting it back together, I was ready to tackle the final install of my Russell Day Long seat. After about 10 minutes, I hung it up for another time. I've read about the hassle of getting the...

Large left side inner panel removal assistance needed (Madison, WI area)

DONE!! Once I got the lower front push pin out, the panel came off with a little wiggling. Putting it back on took a bit more finagling, but was not terrible. My Spyder did not have the two lower push pins installed, as the panel/holes didn't line up. Hmmm.. I did have a shiny white front...
