• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Do Spyder Drive Belts age or wear out?

Paul, should that have read “In 2023 the belt decided” rather than “2013”? Pete

Using 4 FOBO TPMS senders to monitor the tires + ACS too!

I am similar to you with tyres, Hancop, although I have mine set 3 below. With the airbag, I have low at 25 and high right up there at 80, as I know it can reach that with my 300+lbs on the RT. Like you, I just use it as an easy check to occasionally see how the airbag is going. Like Vito, I...

Dodgy posts from long term member - spammer or hacked account?

Along with what Peter has written, those bloody Roos are impossible to dodge anyway, whether you want to or not, Ron. They have such a long horizontal leap (much like your deer) that one second they are hidden in the bush and the next second they are a foot in front of you. The only solution is...

Actually, you could check posts from “Peter Aawen” . Some of them appear to be decidedly dodgy. ;) :roflblack: Pete

Is there a Bigger or rather, longer seat for 2024 F3-S?

I have included the website for pricing below, Declan, as there are all sorts of options, but you would be looking at around $1100 for a seat with leather inserts, retain heating, and heavy-duty suspension for driver and passenger (although I don’t think you get heated seats in your model, do...

2024 Spyder issues make me wonder if I should buy yet?

I disagree with you, ThreeWheels... no…. wait……. sorry, I meant to write - I agree with you, ThreeWheels! :2thumbs: Pete

Is there a Bigger or rather, longer seat for 2024 F3-S?

Just a couple of things to be aware of, Declan. First - sorry, I forgot to mention that with both Daylong and Laam you either have to send your seat in to be modified, or source a cheap 2nd hand stock seat to send to them so you can keep your Daylong for your next ride (if you get another F3)...

Is there a Bigger or rather, longer seat for 2024 F3-S?

I had the same issue on my F3, Ispydr. I went with a custom from Russell Daylong (you can also get them from Seth Laam). No more “Crushed Nuts” where the seat front meets the “fuel tank” (I know it is not the actual tank), plenty of room behind and all day comfort…….and they really aren’t much...

"USB MALFUNCTION" connecting iphone to 2020 RTS

There has been a lot of water under the bridge between when this question and potential answers were posted in 2020, and your reply, Obione, with all sorts of upgrades to BRP Connect/Go to attempt to address issues like this. You are on the right track though. It appears that if you have a...

New Spyder Owner Seeking Advice - which Tail-Gunner exhaust do you have on your RT?

It’s not, Wolfeman? I always appreciate honest feedback. It helps me enormously with decision making. Pete

New Update to BRP GO! app - April 2024

Not that I am aware of, mbranscum. BRP Go (or is it BRP Connect? I’ve lost track which one was first, and which is current ;) ) is the interface for the '23 and earlier. It is good to see they are still upgrading it. Although many, like me, have given it away as a bad joke and are simply using...

New Update to BRP GO! app - April 2024

It astounds me that BRP are still “improving” the Go app. I would have thought that would have stopped once they came out with the new ACP console. (The new, less than perfect, ACP console:roflblack:) Pete

Any hints/info on S2S Tank Badge Removal?

Only the first year S2S model came with luggage, fatboy. BRP very quickly dropped that “wasted profit" - now there’s a surprise. :roflblack: Pete

Anyone tried Kumho Solus TA51a Tires on the front of their Spyder?

……and just something to keep in the back of your mind, Sam; Kuhmo tyres are a bit hit and miss in the US. Many riders have reported that they don’t grip well. However, out here in Oz, they work very well. Whether it is the road composition or something else, we have never been able to determine...

Which do you like better; Toe shifters, or Heel-Toe shifters?

As Ron said earlier, we are all different. I found I had to install heel/toe shifters on all my bikes, because a size 15 riding boot is pretty tall at the front and had trouble getting under the toe shifter. I really grew to like them, but of course, I don’t need one on my SE.:2thumbs: Pete

Any feedback on aftermarket seats - Ultimate vs Corbin?

Consider Kromm and Tango’s words, Shadowmoose. Do it once and do it right. Buy a custom-built seat from Seth Laam or Daylong. They guarantee the seat will give you all day comfort, and they will adjust it if it doesn’t. Pete

Total Loss of Engine Power at 65 MPH on Busy Freeway, All My Fault! Kill Switch...

It just picks up where you left off, as if nothing had happened, when you accidentally flick it off and then back on when travelling, Longtimer. The problem is, you often don’t know you have contacted it, so you panic. I did it twice, once when pulling out of my driveway and reaching over to...

Here's some Tips on Lifting the RT!

EKB2, BRP don’t “warn” about doing this, they state in their workshop manual, DO NOT do this. That’s enough for me to think - ok, I don’t want them to have an issue with warranty (or other) claims, so I won’t do this. You do you however. As K80 and Mike say, a block of wood across the whole...

How do I put my RT Ltd into Neutral and shut off parking brake alarm?

Yep, but that doesn’t solve the issue of how to orient the rear tyre when FOBO says it needs air, Two2. Like many others above, I turn the ignition on, release the brake (after making sure I’m not parked on a slope:lecturef_smilie: ), roll the RT, reapply the brake, turn off the ignition...
