• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What was your best Upgrade/Add-on to your Spyder???

Custom Daylong seat. Without it, my Spyder would have been sold, making it the “best upgrade” by a long, long way 😉 The rest, Pedal Commander, shocks, swaybar, Helibars etc, really are just fine tuning, not essentials. Pete

Please tell me what Battery Heated vests you recommend?

Couldn’t agree more, 2dogs. No worries about making sure your portable battery is charged before heading out, or how long it will last. There is also no issue if you forget to unplug before dismounting. The plug is designed to pull apart easily in most models (and it does... don’t ask me how I...

2022 OEM RT S2S seat versus redone Russell Day Long seat.

Spyder Extras under seat wedge, Troop? I’m heading over there now.👍 Thanks. Pete

    The bells are finally gone!!!!

It is interesting how different things affect different people. Our cat was sitting on my lap when I first typed something and the bells unexpectedly accompanied my typing. Unfortunately, the high pitch triggered my cat who leapt in the air, leaving a couple of scratches in my legs (it’s shorts...

    My Blind Spot Mirror

I agree completely, Mikey…..I always look over my shoulder before pulling out or changing lanes. But these blind spot mirrors just provide you with an extra surety. If you glance in the mirror and see a vehicle approaching, you simply stay in your lane, reducing the number of unnecessary...

Need to modify driver's seat on 2023 RTL - anyone made theirs comfortable?

Yes, RDL seats are wider, but they also have upward “wings” to support your outer thighs, NoTyme. This makes them act similar to a car seat, which usually provides all day comfort. They may not be the prettiest seats in the world, but if you are trying to solve an uncomfortable seat issue, they...

Where is the best spot for Jack placement?

I have to disagree with you on your method of checking the air pressure being the simplest, easiest and quickest, LongIsland. That simplest, easiest and quickest check title HAS to go to the 5 seconds it takes to open the FOBO app on your phone. If you qualified it a little by saying the...

Where is the best spot for Jack placement?

I can’t remember which model you have, 2dogs, and it doesn’t say on your posts, but I have to assume it isn’t a ‘20+ RT where only a small part of the wheel is visible under the saddlebags unless you get down on your knees (especially at 6’7”). 😉 Pete

    My Blind Spot Mirror

Yes, I had one of those on my Rocket III, Tjranch, and it worked brilliantly. Like you, I never had an issue at any time of day with either sun reflection (that photo is taken from abdomen height….you are looking down on it when riding)….or forward blind spots. It’s not like a car rear view...

BrpGo cable connection - would a wireless CarPlay adapter work? Anyone tried it?

There’s no need to add a photo unless you really want to, John…… As per BRP Connect, unfortunately I don’t know enough about the F3-S to know how owners have handled the phone in the frunk. Heck, I don’t even know if the F3-S without the “glove box” even has BRP Connect included…..sorry...

BrpGo cable connection - would a wireless CarPlay adapter work? Anyone tried it?

It’s hard to offer a solution unless you tell us year and model, as Racoon suggests, John. Or better still, add it to a signature line. (Just because you have posted in the F3 section doesn’t mean you own an F3…..you could own an RT but have accidentally posted from there😉) Pete

Where is the best spot for Jack placement?

Why do you have to “lower bike and redo everything” if the valve is “not in the position”, Longisland? The front wheels would be chocked, and you would have the park brake off, so you would simply rotate the wheel to the correct valve position 🤷🏼‍♂️…..you can also rotate the rear wheel to clean...

Ramp for rear wheel to make adding air easier

Yeah, I wasn’t trying to sell you FOBO, JayBros. Everyone has to find the solution that best suits THEM. I was just explaining why it works so well for my particular circumstances. 👍 Pete

The Bells! The Bells! (Nice Touch!)

At my age, Ron, if I turn my speakers down, I immediately forget I have done that, and when I next pick up my iPad, I spend 10 minutes trying to work out why I no longer have any sound from my iPad :) Pete

Ramp for rear wheel to make adding air easier

I follow pretty much the same procedure, but I have simplified it for my tall, aging body, Jaybros. FOBO means I don’t have to manually check it, and when it’s low, I put the tyre valve in the position you mention, set my pump to the pressure required, remove the Fobo cap, screw on the pump...

Ramp for rear wheel to make adding air easier

As Cobranut said, I find I can only access the rear valve when it is between 2 and 4 o’clock. It’s easy to get it in that position on the ground, but once it is on the ramp, not so easy. Pete

Anyone else have website opening issues over the last couple of days?

It would have assisted greatly if a note regarding the impending change had been pinned to the old site (or at least SOME type of communication provided) prior to any new work commencing. Most of the comments/questions/anxiety would not have been necessary, nor would the concern of whether the...
