• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No way to miss - so which tire to hit it with?

I thank everyone for the response . My thought was that hitting a free moving object with only the rear wheel would minimize damage the the bike since the object would be clear of the bike after the hit . There is very little protection on the underside of a Spyder and I fear the damage...

No way to miss - so which tire to hit it with?

It's inevitable , you're going to hit it. The Alligator is there , there is no way to miss it . My thought is hit it with the back tire rather than one of the front tires . What do y'all think ?.

Decision time - what does "S" (sport mode?) do to performance?

At the end of next month, I will be ready to pull the plug on an F-3. The question is, just what does the "S" (sport mode?), do to performance? As I understand it, all it really does is relax the "nanny" to allow a more spirited ride. Is that correct? If that is all, I think I will go with...

Went To Church in our New Car!

Just don't be sitting in the back seat and pull the string real fast while your mom is sitting in the front seat and the car is doing about 50 MPH . [ don't bother asking how I know . You can probably guess .]

How does your Spyder react to Road Hazards?

Just curious, I'm sure that at some point people have hit tire remains or other hazards while riding. Question; How did the bike react and did it in any way damage the bike?

Has anyone installed modulator head lights?

I believe that those who are saying "modulator" are correct and my use of "flashing" was wrong. I do know we had "flashing" lights on our Aircraft but, although low, we rarely had cars pull over because of it. SO, modulator is the subject.

Need to avoid clipping the nose Loading a Spyder on a trailer - ideas?

I think lifting the front of the trailer would be the easiest way to do it. BUT, if that is not feasible, then I would, with three ramps, put a jack under the center ramp; Drive the bike up 'til it reaches the lip of the trailer; then jack up the center ramp a bit to lessen the angle; & Drive...

Has anyone installed modulator head lights?

I cannot find a reference. SO , has anyone installed a system to allow the headlights to alternate and flash while the motor is running . I have seen other MCs with that option but no Spyders .

How do you handle different tire pressure readings?

A wise man once said : The man who has one clock always knows what time it is. I would think the same applies to your tire pressure . Pick one toss the others and don't worry .
