• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Will a handlebar mount for Garmin XT also work for XT-2?

Question - Will the handlebar mount for the Garmin XT also work with the XT 2? All I can find is mounts for the "XT".

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Added the Baja Ron Ultra sway bar. Gained a minimum of 5 mph in sharp turns. Would, without a doubt, allow a bit more speed in corners, if I wanted it.

Look before you leap - sometimes, not everything is in the first box opened!!

Sneakey, Sneakey! I ordered a full oil change kit and an Ultra sway-bar from Baja Ron. Delivery was at warp speed, and I was thrilled to take the boxes to the garage and open them to see my items. Much to my surprise, after opening the box of oil for the change, I was a bit disappointed to find...

Looking for opinions on when to do the first oil change?

Decision having been made, I just ordered a full oil change kit from Baja Ron. I will hold on to it until it is time for the oil change according to the OM. That should only be another month and one half at the current ride rate. As an aside, I also ordered the "ultra (anti) sway bar. Now to...

How Much Do You Use Wide Open Throttle?

I have yet to use WOT. There is a built-in speed limiter on my20024 F3-S. At around 60-65 MPH the wind tries to push me off the back so rather than watch the bike go on without me, I just relax and watch the other traffic pass me by. I have had it up to 80 one time and since then, see no need to...

Looking for opinions on when to do the first oil change?

My Owners Manual for the 2024 F3-S says the first oil change/inspection should come at 3000 miles. To me, that seems like a long time on a new engine prior to an oil change. I would think that there may be many mini pieces of metal in the oil from the new engine break-in that should be removed...

With the Kill Switch and the starter combined, I think that problem at least has been eliminated on my 24 F3-S.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

2024 F3-S --- Only two fill-ups at this time BUT, with one bar left on the "Fuel Gauge" I can put 6.4-5 Gal of gas in. While still new, it gets 32 mpg. Will have to continue to track fuel usage, milage, and amount to fill to get a full knowledge of how it will be.

Storage options - are there any Spyder Tank Bags?

Looking at the options and getting confused. Do any Spyder Riders use a tank bag? There are a huge number available, but which one would be the best option? All I want is a place to put a wallet, phone and a couple of papers. Perhaps a paper map would find its way in there also.

Hear, Hear! Do you wear ear plugs if your helmet doesn't cover your ears?

Gots me a question for those who ride with helmets that DO NOT cover your ears. Do you just ignore the wind noise OR, do you use ear plugs or some other method to prevent the wind noise? Any and all suggestions welcomed. As an add on, my modular helmet does eliminate most of the noise BUTh...

    Learning to Take the Turns!

I have been running around the lake . If you look on google earth you can see the turns on S Lakeshore and a few sweepers on N Lakeshore. Not the " backbone " but better than most ares around here . It makes a quick 34 mile ride from the house .
