• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Had to get rid of my spyder

I went several years between letting go of my 2012 RS and picking up my current ride, a 2021 F3s, but I stayed I stayed in touch with this site. It really helped when the time was right to pull the trigger. Life sometimes gets in the way, but hang in there, it'll happen.

How do you use your Spyder?

After using my Goldwing and VTX for practically everything for years (commuting, errands, pleasure, club rides, etc); and clocking more than 200,000 miles, I bought T'Challa primarily for fun. For me, riding in the rain or when it's too hot or too cold is no longer fun. Therefore, I'm now an...

    Spyder service in Delaware?

As the others said, Diamond Motor Sports is the only dealer in this area. They are backed up and it will probably get worse before it gets better. Give them a call. They're closed on Mondays.

    High beam riding for safety

Rather than daytime high beams, I decided to go all LED up front: headlights, foglights, Lamonster Bright Ryder, and Double Vision Daytime Running lights on the top and bottom A-arms. Moving to the rear next, then the sides.

How many miles on your current Spyder?

Only 700 miles since buying my Sypder last October. Poor weather and health have limited my saddle time. Fortunately, both are improving! :ohyea:

    Review: Two wheels to three

Having piloted a Goldwing/sidecar rig for several years prior to buying my first Spyder, it didn't take too long get used to steering the Spyder's 3-wheel configuration vs. the non-symmetrical hack. However, it took a little longer to get used to not seeing someone/something beside me when I...

    Wow

As the current owner of an F3 S and a sidecar rig, in addition to having regular access to a Tesla Model 3, I'd be very interested in the development of the Sidepod. I doubt if EV's (bikes/cars/trucks) will become exclusive during our lifetime, but I don't think there's any denying that they're...

    Back in the Spyder Saddle

It's been quite a while since my last post, but some of you may recall that six years ago I posted about my daughter totalling my '12 Spyder RS that I had given her as a college graduation gift. Fortunately she was unhurt and eventually bought her own bike, a Ninja ZX 10R. (That's a story for...

Insurance feedback, not a intended to be a price discussion.

Thanks for the Thread I may be shopping policies soon. I'm currently with Progressive/USAA and had a total loss claim on my spyder last year. I was very pleased with the quick payout and the way it was handled. Renewal on my remaining bikes is due soon and I'm anxiously waiting to see what...

Why the F3 Photos don't quite work

I Agree With Most When I first saw the pics, I liked the F3, but was not thrilled with the styling. It gradually grew on me, and once seeing it in person and sitting on it at the Progressive show, I like it a lot more. Even my 17 yr. old son said it looked a lot better in person,

Owners Event Info you've been waiting for

Owners Event Crawl Although I haven't had an opportunity to attend any previous events, I prefer to be more optimistic about the potential of this new format. It may create an opportunity for a "very few" to try to attend all or most of the events. Maybe BRP could offer an incentive to those...

    tried a Slingshot

Yes It's Big! Finally got to see and sit in one at the show in DC today, and yes it is as big as it appears in many of the photos I've seen. I thought many of the pictures I've seen appeared to be distorted, but no, the frontal area is as large as it appears! I'd like to test one...

    Progressive Insurance

Progressive via USAA I have all (5) of my cars insured with USAA. They don't insure motorcycles directly, but they use Progressive to write their bike policies. In an effort to simplify my finances, and because I fully support and believe in USAA, I switched my bike coverage to Progressive...

    the youngest

Technically Disqualified 58 here, but........the Spyder is no more. Gave it to my daughter last May and she totaled it in October. However, although she never registered for the site, she would read the posts on SL from time to time. She's only 22 and plans to get another :spyder2: sometime...

    Thinking of Going Heated Gear

Firstgear Jacket Liner I purchased Gerbing gloves years ago with the intention of adding the jacket liner and pants liner later. As I became a more "prominent member" of the FWRC (Fair Weather Ryders Club), I kept putting off the rest of the gear. While at my local dealer recently, I came...

    Spyder Down........and Out!

Thanks! Thanks everyone for your concern and well wishes for my daughter. She's anxious to get back in the saddle, but with changing weather and the demands of her first semester of vet school, she's willing to wait until spring to get another spyder.
