• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone put a Can-Am Spyder into a Mercedes Benz Sprinter Van?

Definitely worthy of consideration. Thanks for the input.

Anyone put a Can-Am Spyder into a Mercedes Benz Sprinter Van?

Thanks Mike, but I'm not aware of anything comparable made by Chevy/GMC. The largest Ford Transit and Ram Promaster aren't as long as the MB Sprinter 2500/3500 XD 170 wheel base. In addition, based on the specs I've read, I believe the rear door opening for both the Ford and Ram is too narrow...

Anyone put a Can-Am Spyder into a Mercedes Benz Sprinter Van?

Thanks, as a "visual" person, this is what I needed to see. I'm still considering it. Been looking for the right Sprinter: 3500 XD 170 V6. Hopefully soon.

The Day That will Live in Infamy

A solemn recognition indeed. On another note, on this day in 1787, Delaware became the First State to ratify the Constitution of the United States.

Exploring Options To Become Certified to work on Spyders

I live in Delaware, just outside of the DMV. My local dealer, Diamond Motor Sports, is only 25 minutes away, and is the only dealer on the whole Delmarva Peninsula. Although I've been very happy with DMS' service and availability, I fully support your pursuit of this venture. If you get it up...

Does a Driver Backrest make riding more comfortable?

Always rode with one on my Goldwing. Along with the passenger backrest, it was the first mod I made to my F3S. Without it on either bike, I get discomfort from my neck down through the shoulder blades. Although mine folds for easy passenger access, with the third pegs I can step over the seat...

We Lost a Spyder Ryder over the weekend in Md.

Unfortunately there were at least three other motorcycle fatalities in Maryland/Eastern Shore and Delaware this past weekend during the Ocean City BikeFest/Delmarva Bike Week. As far as I know, this one wasn't related, and was the only one involving a Spyder. Prayers out to all the families and...

    September Weather News

Beautiful weather in the Mid-Atlantic. Highs in low 80's and plenty of sunshine forecast for the OC Bikefest/Delmarva Bike Week this weekend. For any of you coming this way, safe travels! Hope to see you there!

Replaced brake rod, now need to bleed - any ideas why?

Interesting. I changed my brake rod three times and never experienced this issue. Are you using an OEM rod or Lamonster after market rod? Pegs or floor boards?

X-grip versus Quadlock... what is better

+1 on the RAM Quick Grip XL mounted on the F3 Bar Clamp with the 2" RAM Double Socket. Very sturdy and easy to access.

ISO - grips with air flow

I loved riding with the Kury Iso grips on my Goldwing and VTX, but decided to try the foam grips on my spyder. So far I'm very pleased with the feel. But then again, I never ride without some type of gloves on.

F3 Trunk Pop - Problem Fixed

Using the two-handed process never really bothered me, but I decided to make this adjustment while doing some cleaning and general "looking around". Your demonstration was great, and now I'm a "popper" too! Thanks!

Another urban legend. Protection for some has always been more "equal" than for others.

    Happy Birthday ...August Members

Thanks for the birthday wishes; 8/16. It was a beautiful day weatherwise, but I decided to putter around in the garage/man cave all day. It was a good day.

Mirror relocated, any Turn signal replacements?

I'm one of the members running both sets of mirrors, at least for now. I've considered removing the stock set and replacing them with something else, possibly speakers or more aux lights. But for now, I'll just run both sets.

Anyone go from a RTL to a Ryker?

Have you considered/tried an F3? Like you, almost all of my rydes are around town, or no more than a couple of hours away. I'm not as tall as you, but I have a 34" inseam. I installed the position 5 brake rod and it's very comfortable for me. Just wondering.....

    GWRRA Org. SHUTTING DOWN

Unfortunately I have to admit that I am one of the many Goldwing owners who let my membership lapse years ago, and never renewed. It wasn't anything negative about the organization, I just became more involved with other organizations and activities. It's always tough to see established...

    Where did you start?

Wow, after reading some of the lists you guys have posted, I almost feel like a newbie, maybe not in experience, but definitely in the variety of rides! Here's my (short) list: 1980 Suzuki GS550L (my intro to 2-wheelin'); bought new and sold 3 yrs later while in grad school 1997 Honda GL1500SE...
